Chapter twenty one: Dressrosa

I know it's a bit late for this but.... OH MY GODDDD!!!! THIS BOOK ACTUALLY HIT 6K READS!! I thank all of you who have read this and voted! I am really happy!( though I suppose no one really cares about that).
But sadly, I have writers block and have no idea what to write after this chapter... I have the overall storyline planned out but have no idea what happens before the confrontation with Doflamingo... so if you have any idea please tell me! So without further ado, please enjoy the new chapter!
Scarlet POV

A bit later, Nami told me what happened and included that we were heading for Dressrosa. It was where Doflamingo was the king.. I think..
Yeah... but isn't he a pirate though? This is too confusing! ... Agrh...! I don't care for it anymore! I give up. I stomped into my room and made myself at home again. I happily face planted onto the bed and drifted off into a deep sleep.

A few days later we could see the island of Dressrosa. It was surrounded by rocks. We docked at the least populated area of Dressrosa and Luffy immediately ran off. The crew sighed as the idiot captain was stopped by Nami. Thankfully.

"I'm going to go explore if that's alright with you guys." I requested.

" Yeah sure. As long as you don't go around getting a lot of attention or getting lost like these to idiots" said Nami as she gestures to the Baka Captain and Marimo( As Sanji calls him) swordsman.

" Thanks" I smiled as I was about to jump off the ship.

" Scarlet" Gil grabbed on to my shoulder." I'll go with you"

" Nah. I can go by myself" I said.

" No. I'll go with you." He says again.

" Gil..!" I looked up at him with determination and a bit of annoyance." .....I know you're just overprotective of me but I'm not a kid anymore. I can take care of myself!" I exclaimed as he still treats me like a kid. He was just a few years older than me! He acts all overprotective when I can take care of myself..!

" ..... I know that your not a kid anymore....!" He had a worried look before it turned to anger" What if something happens to you?!" He shouted, his face red from anger. He still treats me as a kid even though I'm already an adult! I balled my fists and I turned away.

" Well... Nothing will!" I yelled angrily as I jumped off and ran as far as I could. I ran quite a distance before slowing to a stop, finally noticing that I didn't recognize my surroundings. In short, I was lost. Great. I walked around, asking people for directions when I bumped into someone. I looked up to see an ever so familiar face. He looked at me in surprise before helping me up.

" Lupa-san!" I said smiling.

" Oh! Scarlet. It's been a while!" He smiled gently.

" What are you doing here?" I asked.

" Well... I live here. What about you?"

" Because of the log pose. We have to stay here for a while before we can leave. What a nice coincidence" I smiled.

" I agree. Now that your here, how bout I treat you to something since last time, you paid for the ramen" he offered.

" That'd be ....great! But you don't have to pay-"

" You paid last time so it's my turn!" he insisted.

" But I owed you last time!" I continued to argue.

" Well..! Now I owe you!" he said before dragging me to a restaurant. I sighed and sat down next to him. I was going to order some onigiri but Lupus stopped me.

" Don't hold yourself back!" Lupa-san smiled before ordering a humongous amount of food. I stared at him in shock. The food came and he shoved most of the food to me.

" Here! Take this! This one tastes good too! Oh I love this one!" He shoved plates of food in front of me.

" Umm... Lupa-san? I don't think I can finish all of this..." I said.

" Oh.. oops, I got too exited!" He smiled sheepishly. The maid came back and he made her take back most of the food, which she shakily obliged. After we ate, he walked around like he owned the place, with me following behind him. For all I know, he might as well has. Then a it hit me. I barely knew anything about him. Who was he? Is he rich(cuz it seems like it)? If so, why help me? Why is he so nice to me? Is he really the person I think he is? Ah... I'm turning into Gil now... I bet I'm just worrying too much. I smiled a bit.

" What's wrong?" He asked.

".....It's nothing" I gave a close eyed smile.

" Then let's go over to the aquarium too" he smiled brightly as he dragged me to all sorts of different places. Again, like he owned the place. I looked to the stadium which we passed by and had a large commotion.

" What's happening there?" I asked.

" Ah. That's where they are competing" he answered.

" Competing?"

" Yeah, fighting. The winner is the last one standing and the winner gets a devil fruit" he says nonchalantly.

" A devil fruit?"

" Yup. The flame flame fruit, if I remember correctly" .... What...?... Isn't that...? .....Ace's devil fruit..?
