The mornings are tough
Coffee
Sweats
Coat, hat, gloves
Backpack
The sky doesn't wake up until I'm ready to leave
And I say a "bye" to my sleeping mother
Winter barren trees outside
Ice and misery
The coffee didn't wake me
Never ending dark grey car exhaust stirs in the wind
Coming from my stationwagon
I put the car in D2
Hit the road
Past the place I've been working since grade 11
Minimum wage won't get me nowhere
I wish I didn't care
7:30am
Shut the radio off because all that plays is songs I've heard before
Class of 20-something in high school
Now its 20-something three years later
And I'm just done
Going to college for a degree I don't even want
Wasting my life in a place I rot
Now if the Wisconsin morning sky is miserable?
Well look at me
