Peeta and I made a whole year without talking about mutts or anything like that. We want to try for another year, and for now on. He tells me everything will be okay. And I trust that.

I sit down at the table while Peeta makes us breakfast, and I start reading a letter my mother sent me.

Dearest Katniss,
I know you thought I was okay since Prim died, but I'm not actually. Everyone gets mad at me and screaming I'm a terrible mother for letting my youngest child die, and for ruining my oldest child's relationship. I'll leave you alone now. I will forever because I'm killing myself. I'll be with Prim. I love you Katniss. Please think of me. You'll forever remain in my heart.

Love,
Your mom.

I start to tear up as Peeta gives me a plate of breakfast. "Katniss, are you okay?" He asks.

I nod and he looks at the letter. "What's that?"

"Noth-nothing," I say and get up, slipping the letter in my boot.

"Okay," He places my plate on the table.

After I eat breakfast, I decide to decorate our future child's room. Yes, I am pregnant, but I'm telling Peeta later.

I see Peeta come up to the room I'm in, and he looks around. His mouth drops open and his eyes light up.

"Kat-Katniss are you- are you pre- pregnant?" He asks.

I smile and nod walking over to him, and I wrap my arms around his neck.

"Can- can I paint the walls?" He asks smiling.

"Of course you can," I say.
