"Have a great day ahead of you, honey. We'll pick you up before 4PM." Mom says cheerfully while eating pancakes we've taken out from McDonalds. I nodded. I looked at my 'new' wrist watch. Yeah, new one. I dunno. Mom gave it to me a while ago. Its kindda old fashioned watch but I like it. I cant clearly remember but I think I had something like this one when I was in middle school.
Okay lets see. Hmm. It's already 6:45AM. My first class starts at 7AM.
Ha? So that means 15 mins nalang?
Good heavens. "Were not there yet?"
"Dont be so excited, Alli." Dad laugh. I rolled my eyes. As if talagang excited ako. Kabaliktaran kamo. We're on our way to my school. And apparanlty 15 mins na kaming bumabyahe. Talaga bang malalayo lugar dito? Coastal mall lang ata kaya kong lakarin.
"Why are the houses here are blocks away from each other?" Nakakacurious lang. Back in Elizabeth's, magkakalapit lang mga lugar.
Then it hits me.
"Oh I get it!" Oh yeah baby! Big time! Aha! Haha! Now I know why.
Mom and Dad both laughed. Making fun of me because of my sudden outburst. But come on! I just come up with a conclusion. ✌
"What is it baby? May naalala ka ba?" Mom hopefully asked.
"Uhmm. What do you mean? I just come up into a conclusion of mine sa tanong ko." I paused. "I think I know now why. This town is pretty big. Too country style. Like a province in mom's country. There's no much building here. I mean look," I pointed at a moo as we head along. "Very country style indeed. Walang ganyan sa Elizabeth. Back there, puro establishments. No natural wonders."
Dad nodded. "Good observer. You'll excell in your class. I'm sure of it."
"And we're here!" Mom suddenly announced.
Ugh. "Finally!" I muttered. But Im still happy. I got to answer my own question. . . Hmm. Good observant? No. I'm just curious to know the answer deeply.

"I'm Allisandrea Marie Cappulchore. 18. From Elizabe--Uhm I mean Georgia. Hope we get all along well." Yep. That's me. I'm now here at my class currently intoducing myself. Yeah Im stating the obvious.
Wonder what happened a while ago? Well...
When we got here, we came to see the Principal first. And I tell you this, She is great! I thought the principal would be an old scary strict and loud, but ours is the exact opposite.
Ms. Clemonte Agatha is our Principal. Dad and Mom entered me to Samuel High. One of the best summer school in Samuels. One ride from Georgia. She owns it. Big time, huh? The awesome part is that she's only close to my age--25 years old. How career successful!
So where was I? Oh yeah! Back to I was saying, mom and dad very knows her well too much. Not only that, she in return know my parents as well.
She looked at me once before my parents left, and she smiled at me. I smiled back. "Don't worry. You'll have the best summer classes here in Samuel High. Let's go see your room."
There. End of the story.
"Very well. You may sit in the 3rd row, Ms. Cappulchore; beside Mr. MonteCarlo." I nodded, grab my bags I left on the floor before I introduced myself, and headed towards my seat. "Alright. As I was saying, blah, blah, blah, blah."
I walked not until I sat down on my chair. I feel a little grumpy tho. To be honest. Nasa kalagitnaan pa rin kasi talaga ang ng pagtutol about this Summer Classes thingy. Pero wala na akong magagawa to back out. Andito na ako, eh. I sighed.
"Hey. Psst." Lumingon ako sa tumatawag sakin. It was a young brunette.
I raised my brow.
She just giggled. "What a nice way of showing how welcome I was."
"Excuse me?" Sorry di kami close. Tsaka kakapakilala ko lang kanina diba? So dapat alam na nya pangalan ko. Plus the fact na hindi nga pala 'to Filipino. Pag nag-Tagalog ako talagang di nya maiintindihan. "What do you want, Ms..?"
"The name's Carly Ramirez. You can call me Carly. Filipina rin ako like you. I know youre a Filipina. Based on your Accent. Later we'll chat. " She winks and return her sight sa dinidiscuss ng teacher.
I was left dumbfounded. Oh-Kay? What was that for? And Filipina rin pal sya? Oh wow oh wow. Thats a great news! May makakausap na agad ako.
Pero... what was really the purpose of this Summer Class? Ah. I remember. Para nga pala mafeel ko raw culture rito sabi ni Daddy. Right.
First two batches of Courses went well.
Myths and Logics. Not a bad topic after all. I think I kinda get used to this. It's lunch time already.
Pumunta yung iba ng Cafeteria. Doon ata bibili. I guess Im left alone here.
"Hey! Allisandrea! Over here!" I saw the girl named Carly approaching me. Sya tumawag sakin kanina, the brunette one.
"Youre a half Filipina, too. Right?"
"Yes, I am." She nodded. "I'll join you for lunch since its your first day here. So, what do you got there?"
"I didn't want to buy any at the cafeteria. Im okay with my packed lunch. Adobong Manok, Rice, Apples, and a bottle of water is enough for my appetite." I started eating."ikaw? Di ka pa ba kakain?" I asked her.
Nah. She shooks her head. "Tapos na ako. Sinamhan lang kita." I nodded. "Say Allisandrea--"
I cutted her. "Just call me 'Alli' for short." And continue eating. Whoo. Sarap talaga ng Adobo.
I saw in my peripheral vision that she nodded. "Say Alli, mind if I took your 30 mins after classes today?"
Napatingin ako sa kanya. "Oh, sorry. Mom and Dad's gonna pick me up before 4PM."
"No its alright. You can come. Class ends by 2PM."
What? Really? "You sure? Pano mo nalaman?"
"Jeez. Kakasabi lang kaya kanina na walang last subject course ngayon. Tomorrow nalang daw. Kaya imbes na 3:30, 2PM out na natin."
"Where are you taking me anyway?" I asked all of the sudden.
"You'll find out later. You'll love it. Orayt, gotta go. See you later." She then went out of the room.
