Loral drove home and she had to wake me up when she arrived at my house. I yawned stretching awake. Loral got out of the car tossing me the keys. "Goodnight Stay safe." She says.
"Goodnight... you too." I say.
We part ways and I climb into my window. I set my keys on my night stand and put my bag on the floor. I went to my bathroom taking a shower. I got out and looked in the mirror when all the blood was gone. I had three raised scars across my left cheek. The werewolf almost took out my eye. I ran my fingers and ran them across my face. I felt like almost crying. My face is never going to be the same.
I shut the light off and left. I crawled into bed and try to pull out my book and read. I scanned the pages, but I wasn't absorbing the words. I read the same page about fifteen time annoyed. I got up to my kitchen. I pulled out a hot pocket and threw it into the microwave. I walked to our kitchen window and saw our professionally landscape back yard. In the window I saw my reflection that will never be the same again.
I rubbed my eyes and pulled my hot pocket from the microwave. I went to my room nibbling on it. When I finished I threw the wrapper into the trash can. A cold breeze came into my room and I look to see my window open. I walked over closing it and looked out confused. All I saw was the sun quickly descending into the sky. I turned around and saw Silas standing on the end of my bed. I squeak stumbling back.
"What are you doing here?" I ask.
"You should really close your window at night. It isn't safe." He says not meeting my eyes. His eyes moved around my room.
"Why do you care about my safety?" I snap.
Silas looked pained. He shook his head and ran fingers through his soft brown hair making it stand up. I sat down on my bed and wrapped my blanket around me. I watched him move about the room and sat it the chair Cassie usually sits in when she comes.
"I just came to see if you are okay..."
"I'm fine."
"Why do you hate me so much?"
"I don't hate you." I moved my book from my bed to the night stand. "You lied. You are not a witch."
"I was a witch..."
"What are you now?" He doesn't respond, but he is looking at me now. He is looking straight into my eyes with his storm blue ones. "An angel? Fallen angel?" I guess. He shakes his head. "Fairy?" I ask. He scoffs and smiles slightly.
"You haven't heard of my kind. Hollywood hasn't found out about it." He says. "We're very dangerous."
I clench my fists. "Then why don't you leave if you are so dangerous."
"Quin..." He says pained. He stands up and walks over to me. He dragged his cold fingers against my cheek, over my scars. I didn't move or flinch away. "I'm sorry for not being able to protect you. I'm sorry for doing whatever I did to offended you." I looked up at him. I wanted to tell him not to leave, but the words were stuck in my throat. I went too far. Silas left leaving my window open again; he left a pit in my stomach. I walked over closing and locking it.
"I'm sorry. That was mean." I say to my window.
I went back to my bed and crawled under my covers. I went to sleep much earlier than I usually do. I got and got ready for school and packed my lunch. I spent time in my bathroom putting on makeup I never used to cover up the scars. I continued to wash it off cause it look worse. I gave up and parted my hair farther to cover more of my face.
