I sat in Silas's lap in the library. I was studying with Emerson for the science exam tomorrow and we were showing each other flash cards. Silas played with my hair making me giggle on occasion. There was only one more week of school left, and that week is filled with exams. Maria is completely advoiding Tristen. Emerson tried talking with Maria, trying to make things right. Maria verbally made it clear she is not mad at Emerson, but I don't really believe her.
Emerson and Tristen are extremely cute together. Both of them can be really awkward. Currently right now they are both sitting next to each other. Emerson was concentrating on the cards and Tristen's eyes don't leave her. Tristen is like a whole different person. He almost seems happier.
Emerson wrapped her cards in a rubber band once we reached the end. "This test should be easy." She says.
I nodded. "I think so too." I leaned over grabbing my bag and put the flash cards in it. I let out a deep sigh. Silas pulled my hair back and brushed his lips against my cheek. "I'm fine." I said before he could ask if I was okay. He brushed his lips with mine slightly. I smiled.
Silas's head jerked to the left, faster than I could see. I heard it though, a painful crack followed. I screamed and someone grabbed my arms behind me pulling me off of him. I screamed as loud as my lungs could have allowed. Jett grabbed my arms making me face him.
"What the hell do you think you are doing?" I screamed. I heard Emerson scream and I turned around. A girl with curly professional styled hair held her to the couch. A guy wearing a white shirt and tie was pinning Tristen to the ground. He snapped his neck. "This is breaking the contract!"
"The contract broke when you told everyone about me." Jett muttered. "This is not my idea by the way."
He gripped his hand under my chin and pulled a white little bottle from his pocket. "What is that?" I choked out. He sighs forcing the opening of the bottle in my lips. It was sweet as honey. He held me till I swallowed. He let go of me and I turned around seeing the girl forcing Emerson to take the same substance.
"Fire Roar!" I screamed holding out my hands. Fire jumped from my hand to Jett. Jett simply stepped to the side and the fire took over a shelf of magazines.
"It's not wise to play with fire in a place with such flammable knowledge." He walked out the back door of the library. I put the fire out and ran to Emerson. The guy and girl were gone. Emerson was covering her mouth coughing. I rubbed her back till she stopped.
"What was that?" Emerson said looking at me her eyes wide with fear.
"Jett." I said. I got up and went over to Silas. I knelt next to the couch. I placed my hand on his cheek. "Please wake up." I whispered.
"They are alright right? I mean Maria's neck was snapped too." Emerson said softly touching Tristen's leg with her foot.
"I think so." I said. I leaned my head on his. "I'm scared." I whispered very quietly.
I picked my head up and gently placed a kiss on his lips. His eyes fluttered open and he sat up slowly. I said his name quietly. I reached to touch his face and he grabbed my hand tightly. It hurt. He pressed his lips harshly against mine and jerked back. I saw the light. He gripped the back of my hair. He just wanted to feed. I tried to pull back, but he wouldn't let go of me. The last time this happened, Silas ran away.
"Silas!" Emerson screamed. She threw a book at his head and it just bounced off. She got up putting a hand on my shoulder. "Burn foe." She said putting her hand on his arm. It started sizzling. Silas jerked back holding his arm. I crawled away from him. I reached up pushing the hair from my face.
