I laid my head on Silas's shoulder and sighed deeply. "Were are they?" Emerson muttered. She sat next to me and was nervously fidgeting. Cassie was walking in circles around the room. There was a knock on the door and I jumped. I lift my head off Silas's shoulder.

Cassie walked over and answered the door. Loral and Brayden stumbled inside. "I'm sorry were late." Loral says.

I stood up from the couch. "But you are here now. Loral, I chose you to come with me." I said holding out the white crystal necklace to her.

She took it a bit surprised. "Why me?" She asked. I handed the crystal to connect to the necklace to Brayden. He refused to take it.

"She's not going." He says. "Too dangerous."

"I need her to go." I said firmly.

"Why?" Loral asked.

I sighed deeply. "I just know she will be able to handle herself if we are separated. I thought a lot about this." I said my voice drifting.

"I'll go." Brayden says.

"No." Loral and I say.

"They threatened to kill you. Think it to be wise to walk into their dark lair." Maria says. She was sitting on top of a counter in the kitchen away from everyone.

"Why don't you want one of us to go?" Cassie asked. Eliot looked up at her, his expression unreadable.

"I thought all of us were going to go?" Emerson asked.

"There are only two necklaces." Eliot states.

"We have to go now; we are running out of time." I said and forced the crystal into Brayden's hand. "Please just take this. I know what I am doing." I whispered to him. "I will keep Loral safe, I will die before she dies."

"You can't ensure me that." He says.

"I know." I whispered.

My hands started to shake and I crossed them a crossed my chest. I felt Silas's familiar touch on my arm. I dropped my arm and grabbed his hand. His thumb ran along my knuckles. I turned around not being able to handle it any more. I wrapped my arms around his neck and stood on my toes. I was an inch from his lips.

Yesterday he told me I couldn't kiss him, he wanted me to be at full strength for today. I didn't argue with him even though I don't feel week unless I am on my final leg of aura. He pressed his lips to mine any ways. He lingered not wanting to pull away. He cupped my face and his fingers then tangled into my hair. I pulled away slowly. His eyes screamed at me not to go. I brushed my lips gently across his cheek.

"I will see you later tonight." I whispered. I hugged Maria, Emerson, and Cassie. I then grabbed Loral's hand and ran out of the apartment. I then jumped in my car and slammed the door shut. I looked at Loral. Her blonde hair twisted gently on her shoulders. She was barely noticeably shaking as well. "Open the glove box." I said.

She opened it and pulled out two iron blades in leather holsters. "Take one of them and hide it somewhere, in your wrist or under your pants leg or something." I said and started the car. I plugged the address in my phone.

"How did you get these?" She asked.

"Late at night and begging a witch at a witch shop for a discount." I said.

"So that is what you do on the weekends." I smiled slightly.

The rest of the ride was filled with silence. We pulled up to a hair dresser place that seemed empty despite the light on inside and a few figures moving about. "Oh this can't be good." I said my hands dropping from the wheel. I put the blade on the bottom of my right leg.
