"May these crystal keep me out of harm's way. May the crystal shield me from evil. The crystal will shield demons and dark entities from the placed house hold. This shield is our domain and we shall determine what can and shall not pass. No dark entities will pass without our permission. As I will it; it will be." I said.
I held three chains with a quarts attached to them over a wooden bowl with olive oil, basil, pepper, and a soaking bay leaf. Cassie had her hand over mine and Emerson's hand was over hers. Next, Loral's hand was on top of Emerson's and Brayden's hand came last. I dropped the entire sets of necklaces into the bowl. I waited before dragging them out. I handed them out to everyone. The necklace themselves were brown leather braided. The pedant on the necklace were black crystal.
"Hang them up where they can see the moon." I said. Loral grabs her crystal and looks out the window above her bed. She then hung the necklace on the window lock. She rolled off her bed and sat down in a big white fluffy bean bag chair.
"That's it?" Brayden asked; Brayden has never seen us do magic before.
"Yeah that is pretty much it." I said. "What did you expect? A big cloud of smoke?" I waved my hands in the air smiling.
He shrugs. "Kinda..." I shake my head. Loral leans over and kisses him. I looked away and poked Cassie's shoulder.
"What do you want to do now?" I asked her. She shrugs. We spent rest of the night watching Disney movies on Netflix.
The next day I took a trip to the library to get the next book in the series I was reading. I noticed on the wall there was a new sign. NO CLIMBING, LEANING, OR PULLING ON BOOK SHELVES. I shook my head. I've been here so much they put a sign up for me now. I smiled to myself and reached for my book on the shelf. I guy stood next to me grabbing a book right next to me. He was tall and had platinum blonde curly hair. I quickly grabbed my book and went to the other side of the book shelf.
I flipped it to the back reading the back cover to make sure it was the right book. The book itself was hardcover with a black background and gold vines wrapping around it. The boy walked to the other side of the book shelf and looked right at me with cold silver eyes. He had his arms crossed. I looked up slowly, the hairs on the back of my neck were standing up.
"What do you want?" I tried to say firmly, but it came off as a weak whisper.
He took big steps towards me; I took a small step back. He was eventually right in front of me and my back was against the brick wall. He reached up to the back of my head. He grabbed a chunk of my hair, pulling it, so I was looking up at him. I squeaked surprised. The white light passed my lips and went into his. Almost every hair on my body stood up. I stood paralyzed. My heart thundered in my chest.
The boy smiled and pulled back and the light faded away. He pulled his hand away from my hair. I slammed my foot against his shin and turned around running. The boy stood in front of me on the other side of the book shelves. I turned around and he stood in front of me. I turned around and he was there is a blur. It was like there was two of them. If I didn't see the blurs I wouldn't know he was running.
I opened my mouth to scream. He ran up to me covering my mouth. I stumbled backwards. "Don't scream. We wouldn't want anyone to get hurt do we?" He said his voice ringing. His hand smelled of spices. My eyes widen and my knees felt wobbly. "Now nod if you understand." I nodded slowly and he removed his hand from my mouth. I took a few good long steps away from him. He walked up to me closing the space again and took the book from my hand putting it on the shelf.
