Chapter 1: Scared

"Leave me alone" I cried as I ran faster trying not to let my abusive boyfriend of 2 years, Mark, chase after me.

"Get back here now! or you'll regret it!" he yelled at me but I couldn't stop now. I couldn't live like this no more.. It's been too long.

Tears were running down my face as I ran and ran, becoming more weaker by the minute.

Did I loose him? I thought about it. No he was to fast and smart to get away from.

Then I heard the footsteps coming closer to me.

"Leave me alone!" I cried backing into a wall as I felt his hot breathe against my face.

"How did you think you would get away from me?" He screamed, I could hear the venom in his voice as he spoke.

"Please" I pleaded as i feared for the worst.

"No you're done now" he said anger filling his eyes.

He clutched his hand in a fist and punched me in the face.

I slid down the wall and sobbed in pain.

"What the hell do you think you are doing!?" I heard someone scream.

But I couldn't see because it hurt to open my eyes.

I heard mark yelling at someone.

"Don't you ever touch her again!" the other voice yelled as I heard something being kicked.

I seen a blurry shadow walking up to me. "please don't hurt me" I begged.

"Hurt you?" A calm voice questioned.

"I would never hurt you" the voice whispered as they helped me up.
