Chapter 9: Home

The car ride back to Calum's we sat in silence only because well what were we suppose to say?
I just couldn't wait to get back and unpack my things and just forget about Mark.

We pulled into Calum's driveway and the boys pulled in behind us.

Calum and I grabbed my bags from the trunk of his car and headed inside.

"I'm just gonna help Maddy carry these bags upstairs I'll be right back down" Calum stated as he made his way up the stairs and I followed close behind.

We entered the spare room and he set the bags on the bed and I did the same.

He turned to look at me again.

"I just wanna apologize for yelling at Mark.. I know it could've gotten outta hand and I'm sorry" Calum said, looking down at me.

I didn't even say anything I just wrapped my arms around his waist and hugged him.
He was surprised by my actions but after a few seconds he hugged me back.

"Thank you.. For everything" I whispered into the hug.

We just stood there for a moment until I knew it was time for him to get back to the boys.

I pulled away smiling at him.

He smiled back and then headed out the door.

I smiled to myself as I began unpacking some things.

When everything was basically unpacked I plugged in my phone and headed back downstairs to see what the boys wanted to do.

I made my way into the living room where the boys were all sitting.

Calum immediately moved over for me to sit beside him on the couch.

I sat down and thanked him with a smile.

"Ok can I just say that I thought cal was gonna kick some ass?" Michael interrupted the silence.

We all looked at him

"Whattt? I'm just saying" he shrugged taking a sip of his soda.

I laughed

"How about we talk about something else?" Calum asked.

I could sense he didn't want to talk about Mark again.

"Of course.. Uh. Ohh so Calum tells me y'all are in a band?" I questioned the other boys.

"Yup that's right!" Ashton replied excitedly.

"Ya me and Michael play guitar, Ashton on drums and Calum on bass" Luke explained.

"That's awesome!" I smiled.

"We'll have to play for you sometime, Maddy" Michael stated.

"I can't wait"

They all smiled at me.

"Maybe cal can bring you to band practice tomorrow" Ashton offered.

I looked at Calum to see if he'd be ok bringing me.

"Uh if you want to" he shrugged.

"I would love to" I gave him a reassuring smile.

The boys stayed for a few hours and we talked about just random
stuff. But it was nice getting to know them. They seemed nice just like Calum.

They had left about an hour ago leaving Calum and I alone again.

"We are leaving around 9 tomorrow if that's ok with you"

I nodded

"Ya I can't wait to hear you guys play, what kinda music do you play?" I questioned him.

"Uh well Michael says we are punk rock but I don't really know" he laughed.

"I guess we'll just have to wait and find out" I laughed.

"I guess so" he smiled at me.

"Well we should prolly go to bed its almost 9:30 and if I'm getting up early I gotta go to bed early"

Calum nodded in agreement as we
got up to go upstairs.

I went into the spare room and Calum stood in the doorway.

"I see you made yourself at home" he smiled, looking around the room.

I laughed and nodded.

"Goodnight Maddy"

His smile made me smile.

"Goodnight Calum"

He shut the door and I changed into my pajamas before climbing into bed and falling asleep almost instantly.

Band practice tomorrow:)) who's ready?!
