"Wait, what?" Mike asked. I laughed a little.

"She's allowed to try out for the Wild, Coach Yeo said she can. Thing is, she's pregnant. So she can't play. But she said once she has the baby, she'll play for the team." Mike nodded as he tied his skates.

"Cool, and congrats on the baby." I smiled.

"Thanks Mike. I honestly can't wait. To have my baby boy, call me dad. To have my own family." I sighed. I looked at Mike. "Do you have a family?" He laughed a little.

"I'm going to purpose to my girlfriend tomorrow night. We have a daughter, too." I smiled and got my stick. I flipped it upside down and grabbed my tape.

"Congrats Mike! How olds your daughter?"

"She's turning thirteen next month." I nodded and smiled.

"Nice." I said as I started to tape my stick.

"Yeah, she's a sweetheart." I nodded.

"Is she excited to be a teen?" He shrugged.

"She's scared to go to eighth grade next year. But she's pretty excited." I laughed.

"She'll do good." I ripped off the tape and smoothed it on the stick. Then I got up and looked at Mike. "I have to get on the ice. But it was nice talking to you. We can go get a beer or you can come over after and have dinner. You can bring your girlfriend and daughter too." Mike smiled.

"I'll take you up on that offer. Thanks Banks." I smiled.

"Bye Mike." I grabbed my helmet and put it on, then I got my gloves, put those on too, and walked out of the locker room.

"Banks!" I turned around and saw Coach Yeo walk up to me.

"Yeah, Coach?" I asked. He stopped right in front of me.

"Where's Courtney? Thought you said she was going to try out." He snapped. I sighed.

"She can't try out for now. She's pregnant. Maybe in a couple more months she can play? After we have our baby?" I asked. He crossed his arms around his chest, sighed, then nodded.

"I'll have a backup for her until she's ready. She needs to come tomorrow to sign the contract for herself." I smiled.

"Thanks Coach, you won't regret it." He nodded.

"I hope so." Coach snapped. He turned around, and walked away.
