Adam

I smiled. Jonah walked up closer to me and grabbed my hand, shaking it.

"Hi, Mr. Banks. I'm Jonah. I'm a big fan of yours." He said with a little giggle in his voice. I smiled.

"It's nice to meet you too, Jonah." I looked over at June. She was clung to her dad's side, looking hesitant to come over. I smiled even more. "Hey, June. It's okay, I don't bite." Pilate looked down at June and nudged her a little. June looked up at him.

"It's okay, you can go." Pilate said in a soft voice. June slowly looked at me, swallowed hard, and finally let go of his leg. She slowly walked up to me. I gave out a little laugh and put my hand out. She stopped walking, stared at it, then slowly grabbed my hand. We did one quick handshake, then she smacked her arm down by her side.

"You look very nice today, June." I said. She smiled a little.

"Thank you..." She said in a light tone. I looked up at Pilate.

"So, how'd you fine me here?" I asked.

"It's all over the news that you're trying out for the team." Pilate replied. I tilted my head off to the side, confused.

"What?" I asked. He laughed.

"Yeah, since you were on Team USA for hockey, you're basically a celebrity. So when the news stations got whiff of you trying out for the Wild, they couldn't say 'no' to a new story like this." I smiled a little.

"Oh, cool. Maybe my dad's watching it." I said.

"So, heard you and Courtney got married." Pilate said with a smile. I nodded.

"Yepp. I couldn't be happier."

"Is she trying out for the team?" He asked. I shook my head, then stopped.

"Well, right now, no." I vaguely explained. Pilate gave me a confused look.

"What do you mean?" He asked.

"I mean, is that she's pregnant with my baby." Pilate's jaw dropped.

"Oh my, congrats!" Pilate walked over and shook my hand. I started to laugh as he let go.

"Thanks. But after the babies born and a couple months later, she said she'll try out for the team. She's tough, and is so dedicated to the sport. She will never give up on the things she loves."
