Adam
Everyone left except for Coach Bombay and Charlie. Courtney and Charlie were doing the dishes while Coach Bombay and I was cleaning off the outside bar. I was wiping down the counter where Ernie spilt his drink.
"I'm happy for you, Adam." Coach Bombay blurted. I looked at him with a confused face.
"What do you mean?" I asked. Coach Bombay started to laugh.
"About the Minnesota Wild." My jaw dropped.
"You know?!" I asked. He nodded.
"Yes, I was the one who talked to the coach of the team. I'm best friends with him. I talked to him about how you are a great you are if a person and how great you are as a hockey player. So he agreed to have you try out for the team." I smiled.
"Thanks Coach. What did he say about Courtney?" I asked with a big smile. He looked at me and shot me a confused face.
"What do you mean what did they say about Courtney?" Coach asked. I shot him a confused look back.
"Courtney and I got a letter for try outs." I explained. He shook his head.
"No, I didn't say anything about Courtney because there is no girls in the NHL." Coach stated.
"But in the letter it says 'dear Banks's'." I stated. Coach's jaw dropped.
"Oh no, Adam. That's a typo. They just want you to try out." Coach sighed. I put my hand on my forehead. I started to feel dizzy.
"Dammit! Courtney thinks she's trying out too!" I yelled. Coach ran up to me and covered my mouth.
"Sh! We can't tell Courtney that she didn't make the try outs. It'll break her heart." I nodded. He let go of his mouth and backed up.
"Okay, let's just have her go to the try outs, and have them see what she's made of."
