Adam

"Aye, Adam!" I heard Mike yell as he walked into the locker room. I looked up and saw him with his bag and stick. I got up and hugged him.

"Hey Mike, thought you were going to show up yesterday." I said. I sat down on the bench as he threw his back into his locker.

"Yeah, sorry about that. Got caught up in work." I smiled as I started to tie my skates.

"No sweat. You wanna try to come over tonight?" I asked.

"I'm going to propose to my girlfriend tonight." He stated. I got my other skate on and looked at him.

"Propose to her at our house!" I said. He looked down at me.

"I don't know, I don't want to cause any trouble." Mike confessed. I looked back down at my skates and started to tie them again.

"There no trouble, we'll set everything up, we have a nice backyard you can propose to her in. My twin sister has a son, Ernie, and your daughter and Ernie can play together, to get out of your hair." I looked back up at Mike as he started to smile.

"You'd do that for me?" He asked. I nodded and put my chest gear on.

"Of course! It'll be great." Mike sat down on the bench and looked at me.

"Thank you so much, Banks. This means a lot." I smiled and nodded.

"Of course." I threw my jersey on and got up. "I'm going on ice. I'll see you out there."

"Alright, see you out there." I got my gloves, helmet, and stick and headed out to the ice. Once I got to the door, I put my helmet on, then put my gloves on. I heard someone already on ice I looked up and saw someone skating backwards, then skating forwards. I smiled and opened the door. I got on ice ad closed the door.

I started to skate up to the guy so I could introduce myself.  The guy saw me and skated up to me. He stopped right in front of me and we looked at each other at the same time, and I already wanted to sock him in the face.

"Banks?" He asked. We both took off our helmets and stared at each other. "You son of a bitch, it is you."

"Well that's no way to say 'long time no see', Shift."
