Jiyuu's POV
I spent the next two weeks with Takeda and King Kageyama, forming Military Strategies. My head was spinning with the various Base-Militars, how we could protect them, Military Operations, and how I can use my magic.
And, of course, our brainstorming sessions were filled with yells and unending fights, care of me and the king.
If he wasn't so stubborn, we would be finished right now.
"What if we reinforce Base-Militar 3 more than Base-Militar 2's reinforcements?" I suggested.
The king rolled his eyes at my statement, a sign that he thought otherwise.
Whenever I state my opinion, he points out the flaws in my statement or contradict it before I even get to my point.
One of the many things I hate about him.
"Why is it that whenever I state my opinion, you'd always contradict it? Is there something wrong with my opinion?" I asked.
"Yes. Why would you send more reinforcements to Base-Militar 3 if Base-Militar 2 is the Military Base near the border?" he said.Takeda watched our little debate, like always. He sighed, exasperated, and left without saying another word.
"Remember, Your Highness, that there is a hole in the border because of the Fall of Base-Militar 1. If we put much reinforcement with Base-Militar 2, and they invade with full force, Base-Militar 2 may crumble, and they may target Base-Militar 3 next, the weakest base and the base closest to the Kapitolyo. If we let them destroy Base-Militar 3, the Kapitolyo is done for. Following my plan, we can put more reinforcements in Base-Militar 3, and, if ever they destroy Base-Militar 2, we still have a back-up and still save the Kapitolyo. Got it?"
The king stared at me, shocked at what I've said. He hates me proving him wrong, he hates that I'm more intelligent than him.
He hates the fact that I'm better than him.
"But--" he began.
"She has a point." Takeda said, as he reentered the study.
His face fell noticeably, and I smiled triumphantly. Takeda seemed to notice the downfallen expression of the King, and continued his statement.
"But, Your Highness, we can always go check on Base-Militar 2's state, and add a few reinforcements in case of an invasion." he added.
His expression lightened, and thanked Takeda. He got what he wanted, finally.
"So, we go to Base-Militar 2 at 12 midnight." he said.
Kinabukasan(1), I whispered, and snapped my fingers.
Immediately, the future flashed into my mind.
Oh no.
"Meeting adjourned." he said, and went away to leave.
I ran after him, pulling his sleeve to take his attention. Something wrong is bound to happen the moment we visit Base-Militar 2, and it's going to endanger our lives.
"Didn't you hear what I said? Meeting. Adjourned." he said firmly.
He continued down the hall, leaving me. I caught up to him, and blocked his way.
"I heard it loud and clear. But, can we not go to Base-Militar 2?" I said in my sweetest voice.
"What, are you scared?" he asked in an annoying voice.
My eyes formed a sharp glare, my violet irises making contact with his azure orbs.
"I'm not! Something bad is going to happen, and it may cost us our life." I explained.
"How do you know that? Do you think I will believe you?" he said.
"I trusted you, you should put your trust on me too!" I interjected.
