Kageyama's POV
"She'll be unconscious for three to four days. An eighth of her life force is gone, the spirit who possessed her took it away from her. She has to replenish it."
The doctor adjusted her glasses, and noted something on her clipboard she always carried around. Then she bowed.
"Thank you, Doctor Kiyoko Shimizu." I said.
"My pleasure, Your Highness." she said, and left.
My eyes turned to the figure on the bed, unconscious, and having no signs of waking up at any moment.
Tch, I can't believe I'm saying this, but..
I'll miss fighting with her for three damn days.
-----------Oikawa's POV
It was that dream again.
"Hello, Tobio-kun."
My aunt, uncle and cousin came to visit one day, that was four years ago.
Me and my cousin proceeded to the drawing room to have a little chat, while our parents went to the gazebo to enjoy some afternoon tea.
It was supposed to be a normal day.
Until, my mother pointed her sword at her brother, my uncle.
"Karasuno will be mine!"
I wanted to stop her. But once she set her mind on something, she will never stop until she achieves it.
Then, mother's turquoise dress turned crimson.
The cause?
My cousin's steel blade.
"Mother!" I cried.
My cousin towered over my weeping figure, with a bewildered expression.
He didn't even help me.
"I-I'm sorry! I just.. just wanted to protect my father— I didn't mean to stab Auntie." he said.
Liar.
You were waiting for this oppurtunity all along, am I right? You were waiting for this moment to bring my downfall.
They fled from the scene.
Leaving me and my bloodstained mother alone in the darkness of the Palace.
My father died of a heart attack a few days after.
Leaving sixteen-year-old me to run a country.
The country suffered for two years of economic depression because of my inexperience in ruling
Everyone hated me.
All because of my cousin, Kageyama Tobio.
I woke up abruptly.
That dream haunted my mind again. Letting me remember the bitterness of my past.
"My lord."
My faithful adviser was at the door, a glass of warm milk in his hand.
"Thank you, Iwaizumi. You surely know how calm me down after a nightmare."
He smiled as he handed me the warm glass.
He is really my faithful adviser.
"Am I to be called a servant of the Oikawa Royal Family if I don't know how to calm the King down?" he said.
I smiled back, and handed him the now-empty glass.
Before he left, he said, "Good night.", and wished me, "Sweet Dreams, my Lord."
---------Kageyama's POV
"You're still not awake."
I gazed at her sleeping form, in rest for two days now.
Three days seemed like three decades.
I sat at the edge of her bed, and stayed silent for a momet as I stared at her.
When will she wake up?
"Oi, I have good news." I said.
She may not be able to hear this, but I'll say it anyway.
"I followed your advice, got reinforcements for Base-Militar 3 and.." I trailed off.
I took a deep breath before saying it.
"And, Aoba Johsai invaded Base-Militar 3 three hours later. But, the soldiers intercepted them quickly. And, we.. We did it. We saved Base-Militar 3."
For the first time, we have defended a military base successfully with her help.
I will always be in her debt.
"Thank you." I said.
Before I left, I gave her one last longing look.
"Wake up soon. I miss fighting with you."
I'm crazy, right?
