Lucky pov
I could see the gun hiding behind his jacket. That confirmed it, he was the target. I followed him closely down the street. It would be more safe if I stayed a bit behind, but there was too many people in the street. I couldn't take the chance of him suddenly starting to murder people, before I could reach him. I tried to blend in as well as I could, but I had a feeling that he had noticed me.
He turned down a sharp corner, and I followed him. We walked down an alley. Of course it was a alley, I smiled to myself. Then he suddenly started to run. I took a deep breath. It was just one of those days! I ran after him, and now everybody could see what was going on. Not that anybody tried to help ether one of us. He knocked over a trashcan, but I jumped over it. He reached a ladder to the roof, and he quickly crawled up. I was right behind him, and I was fast to.
We reached the roof of the building, and then he started running again. He jumped from roof to roof, and I made sure not to look down as I followed him. I tried to jinx him, but he was good. Suddenly I could hear a voice in my earpiece.
S: "How's the mission going?"
Wally had a talent for timing.
L: "I'm a little busy right now!"
S: "Sorry if I'm bothering you. I just wanted to ask... Are you running?"
L: "Yes Wally! I'm running! Please get to the point."
S: "Do you need help?"
I leaped and made a roll fall on the next roof.
L: "No! I... Just a second."
I had him within my reach. As he landed on the next roof, I both jumped and jinxed him. I hit him, and he tumbled to the ground. I landed safely and ran over to him. He was trying to get up, but I laid all my power in my fist, and then I punched him in the face. He fell to the ground, and this time he stayed down. I straightened my back.
L: "I have everything under control."
S: "Do you... Do you have to kill him?"
He was eating something... He was trying to chew and talk to me at the same time. I rolled my eyes.
L: "Please stop eating when we're talking. And no. They wanted him alive for questioning."
S: "Sorry... Well that's nice. See you back at the apartment then?"
L: "Just give me 10, and I'll be there. Love you."
S: "Love you to Slowpoke."
I hung up, and then I found my phone. I dialed the number of the secret organization that hired me to find the snitch. They had been waiting for me to return their information, so they were quick to respond. I had taken this job myself. Wally and I was always a team, but this was a one man job. And Wally offered me the chance to take my first mission alone. I smiled. It had been a success, just like he said it would.
Wally had used his time on finding a small mafia warehouse filled with jewelries. He had busted the place, taken what he thought would be a fair payment, and then called the cops. That was the way we did things. We were criminals breaking the law, but only to help. We had found the way that we thought helped the most.
I took a deep breath. The helicopter was approaching and I stepped back. Men in black got out, and they got the snitch into the helicopter. One of them gave me a backpack, and I opened it and found the agreed payment. I nodded, and so did the man. The helicopter took off, and I was left alone on the roof. I enjoyed the silence for a second, but then I heard sirens. The police.
I turned around and started to run. I jumped from roof to roof, but they were following me. A news helicopter was flying above me, and I knew I wasn't fast enough to escape that. I had to come up with something! I was desperately trying to come up with something, when a lightning flashed past me. I stopped and so did the lightning. It was Wally. He was wearing the same black suit, that he was wearing the first time I met him. He smiled to me and offered me a hand.
S: "May I?"
I laughed and rolled my eyes at him. I placed my hand in his, and he kissed it. Then he gently dragged me closer and lifted me up. He was carrying me like a bride, and I stroke his cheek.
L: "My savior."
Police: "Stay there! Don't move!"
S: "I think, that's my Q!"
He smiled, and I tightened my grip in his suit. He flashed over the rooftops, down the side of a building, and disappeared into the city. The cops didn't stand a chance. I smiled and enjoyed the wind blowing.
He stopped and put me down. I looked around confused. I thought he would take me back to the apartment, but we were still outside. I turned around, until I noticed the view. I ran over to the railing, and looked down. Paris was stretching as far as my eye could see. I gasped at the beautiful view. We had only been in Paris for two days, and I hadn't had the chance to really enjoy it. He had taken me to the top of the Eiffel Tower.
L: "It's beautiful."
He walked up behind me and placed his arms around me.
S: "I don't know... I can come up with something even more beautiful."
He kissed my neck, and I laughed.
L: "Really? Maybe you should tell her more often."
He turned me around and kissed me from my collarbone up to my cheek.
S: "She already knows."
He leaned closer, and I met him halfway. After the kiss he took my hand and looked me in the eyes.
S: "Happy 3 years anniversary."
I smiled surprised. He laughed when he saw my reaction.
S: "You thought, I had forgotten it again?"
L: "I'm just happy you didn't. Thank you."
I leaned in and gave him a gentle kiss.
L: "I love you."
S: "I love you to Slowpoke."
