Chapter 1 - the Interview

Ellie's POV

Today is Dana and mine 16 birthday. We just finish one year of boarding school and we have decided to move back to New York City to study.Since Mum and Dad were so busy. They leave us at boarding school. Of course we do protest but we know that Mum and Dad work so hard to give us a living so we decided to forgive them.

We will give a try on to apply to study in Fashion H. Academy (One of the highest rank fashion school in the State, the school was build in New York City) the first minute that we are back in the City. 

Since we were born, I have a big dream of becoming one of the top fashion designer and our chances is finally here. Mum and Dad are both of the former student that have study in F.H.A. and I can't wait to become just like them.

Yesterday was the happiest moment of me and Dana's life. Moving back to New York City after a few years that are away.  One step closer to my dream of becoming a fashion designer. All this will eventually happen.

Oh my god! Yesterday is sick... A long distance train from boarding school to come back here in New York City. I have all my luggage with me and we are finally back home.

To look on the bright side, today is my 16th birthday. Everything will be good after that. So I crossed my fingers and  wished ...

At 10 in this morning, me and Dana are about to have breakfast. So we went to kitchen and planned to make something that refreshes our day.

At that moment, dad come in and said to take us to have breakfast. However, dad was the one that who said breakfast outside was unhealthy and we both have question marks in our mind.

Okay, so we sit on the car and Dad was driving.

"Where are we going actually?" I asked Dad.

"McDonalds." Dad said.

"Seriously. Dad, you took us all the way out to have breakfast just for some oily fast food?!" Dana look stock and she turns helplessness.

"I thought is your childhood dreams." by a mysteries dad.

"Dad, McDonald is our childhood dreams but not in our teenage. We just turn sixteen today."

"Also, lots of calories will make me gain weight." Dana is also the one that care the most of having a beautiful body. ( Pretty face an a very perfect body shape. Also in order to keep her body in size, she wears corset at night when she sleep. Moreover, eat according what nutritionist told her. A very hard life to live if I were her.)

Suddenly someone call dad and he pick up the phone, he didn't answer anything but he didn't hang up the call also. Mystery, anonymous, secrets that I don't know.

Afterward, the car arrives at McDonalds. "Both of my darlings, now let's get in to McDonalds."

After me, Dana and my dad are sitting in the tables. I have a fish burger while dad eats all my French fries. Dana is sitting around like doing silent protest about why dad brought her to McDonald.

So we all eat quietly because of the awkward situation. Again, the phone ring, dad pick up and said to us, we are now going home.

Dana feel relief and said finally!

So this time we were at our car driving way back home.

Dad opens the door. Mum bump out and said "Happy Birthday to you, both of my darlings."

On her hand is a birthday cake with a candle of 16th. Dad move away and I said, "I love you mum and dad for the surprise."

Dana joke and said, "The cake will make me fat but today it a special day, all the keeping fat things will leave on to tomorrow."
