Chapter 5 - Girlfriend for Hire

Ellie's POV

September 3, Monday, 6:30 pm

Me and Kelly are still drawing our sketch while Monique is practicing the dance in front of the mirror.

"Kelly, I can't figure out the design." I am in a headache already.

"Maybe, we should just have dinner first." Kelly answer me.

"Alright. Monique, are you coming?" I asked Monique.

"Yes."

Then we packed up our stuff in the room and walk to the canteen. Might some other environment can give us better ideas. I am so hungry now. When I am hungry, I can't think.

Dana's POV

September 3, Monday, 6:45 pm

Me and Rosie were waiting at the common room for Sophia. Then Sophia come over. While, Stella go and have dinner with some other friends.

"Let's have dinner. I need to charged back my energy." By Sophia.

We are walking to the canteen. After I get into the canteen then I see Ellie walking toward me. Sophia and Rosie walk away to buy their dinner first.

"Dana, are you better now?"

"Yes, so much better than before."

Then we got nothing to say to each other because everyone is staring at us.
"It is awkward now." By Ellie.

"Yep. I don't think we should talk so much in the public because ... You know what I mean."

"I see what you mean." Kelly and Monique are waving at Ellie because they found a table. "I got to go, see you later, Dana."

"Bye, Ellie."

I know it is not good for talking to Ruby's member but Ellie is my sister, I can talk to her right, just not too much. I feel bad about this because we were best friends since we were babies. We talk each other all our secrets and I don't know what to do now.

"Dana, don't over think this."

"Rosie?!"

"I saw you over there talking with your sister and ...." Rosie tries to comfort me, "Ruby and Sapphire were meant to be rivals and you should understand this. Don't be sad, I can see Ellie already accept this fact. It is not that awkward after you remember this fact. You don't have to feel bad about yourself. "

"Girls, let's go." Sophia led me and Rosie to the 'Blue Table' that especially for the head members of Sapphire.

"I brought you some sandwiches."

"Thanks, Rosie."

"Hi, Sophia and this two girl is?"

Rosie whisper to my ears. That the Queen of Sapphire this year: Maggie Hallandale. Grade Three, eighteen.

"My friends from Grade 1, Dana and Rosie."

"Nice to meet you, Maggie. I am a big fan of yours." Rosie takes out her hand and shakes with Maggie.

"Thank you."

"Actually they were here to ask if they can help in the welcoming party." Sophia tell Maggie.

"Sophia, it is you choice. You know you don't need to ask me." Maggie smile at us. "Wait... I got a better idea. How about the 'Starting Point'? Do you girls want to help in the runway show? Like modeling?"

"Really?! How about the party?" I was surprised that Maggie asks me to be the model of that show.

"Yes, Dana. You and Rosie can help us in the 'Starting Point' as our model that night. Dana, you look stunning in blue-birds." by Sofia.
