The Sorcerer's Book

  The knocking grew louder and louder, until Ms. Alistair grabbed my wrist and the package altogether as she bolted down the hallway. We raced upstairs as Ms. Alistair opened the package with monstrous force. There in front of me was a tattered, grey book. I stared at it oddly, but couldn't think due to Ms. Alistair's tight grip around my wrist currently. Before I could do anything, she instructed sternly, "Stand still. I'm going to tell you something really important, Amelia." 

  I nodded, although thinking, How the heck does she know my real name?! In my head as Ms. Alistair explained, "The first time I saw you, You were a unique sight. Then when I saw you at my doorstep, that's when I knew you were the one, Amelia."

  I repeated in disbelief, "The one...? What do you mean...?" Ms. Alistair nodded, holding out the book towards me. I took the book, my body trembling as I waited for more explanation.

  Ms. Alistair noticed my position and instructed, "I need you to go into the book, and complete the story, before it's too late. The others will be there; we don't have much time. You open this book, and I'll stall downstairs, got that, Amelia?"

   I stared into Ms. Janice's steel grey eyes and felt a connection within me. I agreed silently as Ms. Janice smiled and raced downstairs, the knocking suddenly getting brutal. I stared at the book in my hands and read the cover. I read out the messy hand writing. "The Sorcerer's book?" I read.

   I read the lines under the title and read as best I could, "Almeon ja-hon estem lamar hasterio...?" (ah-lem-on ja-him est-em lah-mar ha-ster-reeo)
The book suddenly brightened up with light as the pages inside flowed with a gray so beautiful as it twisted around me. But when I touched one, it sparked and my body suddenly glowed, and my mind went black.
