Josie's POV

The only downfall to having a game on the same exact night Calum does is that I cannot be out in the crowd to cheer him on. Coach instructed that if the girls team could get ready in time, he would allow us to watch the ending of the game. I lace up my cleats before reviewing my image in the mirror making sure everything is good and set in place. I see Brea over by another mirror putting her hair up into a tight ponytail. The whole team for the most part is finished getting put together.

"Ok if you're all ready and have everything situated, you are free to go out and watch. Just keep in mind you have to be prepared for mandatory warm up." Co-Coach says sticking her body halfway in the girls locker room. I take Brea by the arm as we walk out of the locker area and out into the sidelines to get a good view.

I spot Calum in midfield trying to get a hold of the ball as he maneuvers across the field. I watch as his foot comes in contact with the ball and he strikes it straight in the goalie calling the game. I watch a satisfied smile spread upon his face as his teammates gather round him in celebration.

Coach is going to have high expectations for the girls since the boys took home a win for first game, he always says the first win calls for a great season.
Calum does a silly victory dance as soon as the boys join his side, I laugh to myself before I see him jogging over to the refreshment area to grab a water.

Luke points over to where Brea and I are standing before Michael and Calum sprint over.

"You did so well tonight!" I say running towards him and hugging him tightly.

"I'm expecting the same from you." He says through laughter and lets his arms hang around my waist as Michael and Brea talk-well mostly flirt.

"Do I get a victory kiss?" He says while smirking which makes me smile.

"I'll make you a deal... If our teams takes home the win then you'll get that kiss." I say and right before he can protest Coach orders round up.

"Girls I expect nothing but your best tonight, just like I told the lads if you come out defeated expect a consequence at Tuesday's practice." Coach Tomlinson stresses and this causes all of my nerves to heighten.

"On Three." He says as we all throw our hands into a spirit call, "One, two, three break!" We all get in formation and begin our stretching to let our muscles loosen up a tad. I look over to the sidelines and a worried look overcomes my face, Brea notices and follows my stare.

"Who's she?" Brea asks as she continues her leg stretch.

"I'm guessing that's Kelsey..." I say becoming a little upset, Calum and I might not be officially together, hell it has not even been a week since we decided to take things a little more seriously but I expected him to drop ties with her.

"Who's Kelsey?" She asks, "The one he made me leave for so they could bang." I say working on my shoulders watching them embrace each other. I watch them laugh in unison before he waves her off and heads to the locker rooms.

I never considered myself to be the jealous type. I have never let myself get to the point where I liked someone to become jealous, but I can admit I do not enjoy the feeling. Just like routine my mind begins to get carried off into thoughts putting me on edge.

"Just don't think to much of it, focus on the game." Brea says as we walk to the field entrance and I try to push the image of them to the back of my head. One by one we make our way to positions on the field and the crowd cheers us on. The opposing team makes their entrance before announcements take place.

I am playing right midfield as Brea takes left midfield. Once the signal drops all bodies are in action with one mission to take the team to the win. I start heading for the center midfield when a girl from the opposite team cuts in front of me almost causing me to trip. I jog through the left wing as my team mate Kelani shoots past me and aims the ball right into the goalie net.

Our whole teams high five one another before taking second position. I rest my hands on my knees trying to allow as much oxygen possible to fill my lungs. The referee blows his whistle for a new round, this time I rush straight into center field going after the ball.

Once the ball is at my feet I take off weaving through the other players almost to the line where I can kick shortly to have the ball taken from underneath my foot causing me to land flat on my arse. The other team scores as I am helped up to my feet by Brea. I sigh in defeat taking position ready to go all in and do whatever it takes to make a goal.

The whistle sounds and this time I wait before I make my move trying to retrieve the ball. I meddle across the field facing a few obstacles in the process but I finally manage to score earning a roar from the crowd.

It is six to five as we take what will hopefully be our last position setup. The last blow sounds and Brea is on her game taking the ball from Miranda. She loses it halfway through right wing but I soon take the steal allowing Brea to take the ball once again.

Brea kicks the ball past the goalie taking the win, the crowd erupts in a loud roar as we all huddle up in a team hug.

"Way to kick ass today biatch!" I say hugging her and we laugh jogging off the field.
Coach congratulates us as we exit off to the sideline letting the loud music play through the stadium speakers filling my ears.

Arms are wrapped around me from behind lifting my body slightly making me let out a loud squeal. I turn around to be met with dark brown eyes and smile.

"So how about that victory kiss?" Calum asks and I place my arms around his neck allowing him to lean closer.

My lips are placed on his soft ones, they move in sync for a short time before I pull away allowing them to linger. I look up to his eyes smiling when we are interrupted by Brea and Michael but they shortly repeat our actions which cause Calum and I to hoot and holler at them.

"You want to go grab a bite to eat after you grab your stuff?" Calum asks intertwining our fingers.

"I'd love that." I say as we walk in the direction of the locker rooms followed by Michael and Brea.

"Us too!" Michael says as we all laugh together.

That moment in the sidelines replaces all my mixed emotions I felt from earlier tonight wash away. Maybe this could actually turn out to be alright.

Kinda of out of the ordinary for me to post during the school week, but hopefully I will start to more often.
