Josie's POV

Calum and my fingers are intertwined as we enter the small food joint accompanied by Brea and Michael. I rest my head upon Calum's shoulder as we wait to be seated. He looks down at me with a smile before pecking my lips quickly causing a grin to appear across my face.

"Party of four." The hostess announces directing us to our booth towards the back of the building. I slide into the opposite side of the booth sitting across from Calum as Brea joins me. We are handed menus before being introduced to our waiter for the night. I order a iced tea after the rest order their drinks.

My eyes scan over the menu indecisive of what I actually want. Once I see chicken wings and parmesan truffle fries I am set on what I want to order.

I look at Calum as his eyes crinkle while laughing at Michael, Brea and I exchange looks then laugh as well. We all abruptly stop when our waiter comes to take our orders. I order quickly and sip on my tea as the others place theirs. I stir around the ice in my glass with the straw, I am startled when I feel Calum kick me underneath the table causing me to look up. He has a devilish smirk across his face and looks away as if nothing happened.

I return his gesture shortly after and giggle to myself earning a joking glare from Calum. I then get into a conversation with Brea about the party tomorrow night.

"Are you going?" I ask Calum with hopeful eyes and he looks down at his fingers.

"Ah, no I already have this thing planned." He says taking a drink of his soda. I nod my head understandingly before continuing the conversation.

Our food comes around in a timely manner and my mouth is practically drooling as I stare down at my wings. I hear Calum chuckle at me causing me to flip him off before I eat a couple fries then start on the wings themselves.

By the time we all get finished eating and are ready to go it is close to eleven. I argue with Calum about paying and exit out the door with a satisfied grin. Do not get me wrong it is nice when a guy pays but I am one of those girls that feel guilty afterwards, plus I do not really consider this a date.

"I'll text you in the morning." Brea says as she gets in Michael's car while Calum and Michael do a bro hug and shake goodbye.

I walk close to Calum as we get closer to his car. Once the door is unlocked I open it and hop in.

He starts the car and we drive on the freeway not speaking a word to one another sitting in comfortable silence. I keep my eyes locked on the road occasionally sneaking a glance at Calum here and there. I finally get the courage to speak up breaking the aura of complete quietness.

"What was Kelsey doing there tonight?" I asked not daring to look at him instead looking out the passenger window. Suddenly the buildings outside are becoming more intriguing than Calum's burning stare.

"Am I not allowed to have supporters show up at my games?" He asks back in annoyance and I immediately regret bringing up the subject.

"No, I just figured...I-" I begin not really knowing where I was headed.

"What? You just figured that just because I was talking to you that I would cut all ties with her?" He asks sounding defensive.

"Well considering the fact that is how most relationships work," I state looking at him dumbfounded. "You know what forget that I even said anything." I say folding my arms against my chest and resting my head on the window.

Calum's jaw is locked with tension as he continues to focus on the road. I should have just left this situation alone and not even have brought it up. A part of me is wishing that he would have tried to defend himself further so I could have got everything I wanted to say out.

The remaining time spent on the freeway is once again filled with silence and nothing but the humming of the engine fills my ears.

We pull into the field parking lot where I left my car after the game before leaving with Calum. I do not bother looking at Calum as I unbuckle my seat belt and open the door. Before I can climb out he takes a hold of my wrist delaying my actions. My body turns to face him with questioning eyes before his sparse lips split to speak.

"Look, you have nothing to worry about. I like you obviously and I shouldn't have said what I said." He says and I sit further back into the car. My stare connects with his as I he places his hand on my cheek rubbing it in soft motions before pulling me closer to him.

Our lips hover above one another for a short time before finally coming in contact. My arm reaches back and closes the car door as I inch closer to his body. He places his hand on the small of my back before urging me closer, I climb over the console and straddle his lap.

I rest my palms on his chest firmly as he tries to fight for dominance. A low moan escapes my lips, his hands enter past the hem of my shirt and runs up the sides of my torso.

"I really need you." He says through rushed breathing and I pull away slightly.

"I can't do this right now." I say pulling even further away letting my back rest upon the stirring wheel.

"Why?" Calum asks confused as I remove myself from his body and sit back on the passengers side.

"I just...I don't know." I say opening the car door leaving him upset and demented.

I myself know that if I want this work, we need to start taking things slow. Just because we met because of sex does not mean that is what our relationship should solely be based upon.
