Josie's POV

After one to many shots of liquor, I find myself alone tripping over my own two feet. I stumble into a secluded balcony away from the raving bodies where the cold winter air hits my exposed skin. I rest the palm of my hand on the iced railing backing up into the corner so I can still look out onto the pretty view in front of me.

I shut my eyelids and breathe out taking a moment to try and find myself but my blood has been mixed with too much alcohol.

A hand grazes my cheek causing my eyes to flutter open quickly expecting to be met with Calum's dark chocolate eyes, instead I am met with another familiar pair.

My lips part to speak stopping when he places his thumb against my chin and lays his hand upon my waist pulling me closer into his body that is radiating off heat.

"Kian...stop-" I begin but he whispers in a hushed tone before leaning even closer towards my frame.

"No seriously I don't want to do this." I say pressing my hands flat against his chest trying to push him away but the alcohol in my system is making everything fuzzy and my actions weak.

His lips lay roughly on my neck as tears begin to well their way up to the brim of my eyes.
Hands roam along my body as I begin to feel my throat tighten due to my emotions stirring.

"I don't want to do this." I breathe out through whimpers as his fingers inch closer to the entrance of my shorts.

"Please stop Kian, please don't" I slur as the tears I have been holding back break free and stream down my face. My back is pushed firmly against the railing as his body is pressing harder into mine.

I wish I was sober enough to gather up enough strength to get myself out of this situation.

"Just have a little fun, I know that your little prick of a boyfriend could not do you the way I could." He breathes onto my neck, the hot air sending unsatisfying chills down my spine.

The burning tears that were streaming down my face have now turned into a flood and my stomach aches as I clench my eyes shut and cry out as I feel his finger come in contact with the lace of my underwear.

"Get the fuck away from her you sick fuck!" I hear the voice I have been waiting for come from the distance and I could not feel more relieved.

Kian's body is ripped away from mine and I run into the arms of Justin as I see our group making their way closer to us.

I cry uncontrollably as Calum connects his fist with Kian's jaw causing him to turn and spit towards the ground.

"What the fuck is your problem?! She clearly was not okay with what you were doing." Calum yells pushing Kian into the the other side of the balcony.

"Chill, it's not like I raped her or anything." He says shaking his head looking not amused.

"Because I got here in time." Calum says throwing another punch at Kian and my body shakes as I watch the scene in front of me.

Kian wrestles Calum down to the ground getting a few punches in as the boys now step in and try to get them to stop.

People are now gathering due to the chaos and Brea wraps her arms around me.

Calum now gains some control and blood begins to appear from both boys.

"You're going to kill him!"

"Okay that's enough bro."

"You need to stop!"

"Get off him!"

"He's not moving..."

"Call an ambulance!"

I hear all the shouts from the boys and I push through Michael and Ashton to get to Calum, he is standing above a motionless Kian.

More tears break free as I kneel down and take in the site in front of me, this should not be happening.

I look up at Calum's bloody face as he looks furious and wipes his nose with the back of his wrist.

"What the fuck Calum?!" I scream as I realize Kian's state.

"Are you insane he just tried to rape you! He took advantage of you!" He says looking dumbfounded, all this is making my mind and body snap back into some form of soberness.

"That does not mean beat him to death." I say letting the water drops fall from my already burning eyes.

Security finally makes an appearance and they make every one disperse except for the boys, Brea, and I.

Justin reaches down to check Kian's pulse and I finally allow myself to be taken into Calum's arms. I have a reason to be extremely upset right now but Calum was just protecting me and saving me from a situation that I did not want to be in.

"It's almost non existent but it's still there, where the fuck is that ambulance." Justin breathes looking more frantic as he looks down at his unconscious best friend.

"Okay I think we need to clear the space until the ambulance comes and you sir need to come with me." A security guard says taking Calum by the shoulder and explaining to him what will be happening.

The other guard allows Justin to stay with Kian as he directs staff to block off the area that holds Kians body. I push through people trying to find my way to the exit, I feel so weak right now.

I weave by unfazed dancing bodies and drunken groups. My feet moving too fast for my body as I look ahead to the door.

I pass the security office and see Calum being handcuffed through the glass windows and see his upset face as the guards speak to him and he stands stiff.

My head faces down as I walk through the exit onto the paved sidewalk.

"Josie." Luke says making his way out the door and over to me.

"Everything is going to be alright." He says embracing me into his arms causing me to wrap my arms around his tall figure.

"I just wish tonight didn't turn out this way, I care for both Calum and Kian. Even though Kian did something really twisted tonight he shouldn't be laying on that floor right now and Calum should not be getting ready to be taken to the police station..." I ramble on after pulling away from his body and looking up to meet his eyes.

"Hey listen, Calum would not want you to be worrying about him. I know tonight was chaotic but everything will work out in the end." He says placing his hands on my shoulders.

"When Calum gets released we can both go down together to get him, in the mean time you do what you think you should do with Kian. Don't push yourself into going and seeing him in the hospital because to be honest he does not deserve one ounce of your time." Luke states just as the ambulance pulls up. The paramedics hop out the back doors of the vehicle before assembling a cushioned stretcher.

I watch as they enter through the doors and Calum is brought out another, our eyes meet for a split second before he is pushed down into the police officer's car. I begin to get teary eyed once more but I stop myself as Luke places his arm around my shoulder. I bring my thumb up to my lips and begin to chew on it nervously as I watch the vehicle with Calum drive off down the street.
