“1/17/5/42,” I re-co-ordinatised.
Arthur decided not to pull me up about yet another new word, inputted the co-ordinates and vanished as well.
“It’s dark,” said Sid.
“Even with the light on it’s dark,” quoted Arthur from The Crying Pennant.
“Nice quote Arthur, except that you don’t have a lamp and you haven’t set your IWT to glow.”
Arthur set his IWT to glow. They were in a dark room.
“It’s a dark room,” gloomed Arthur.
“I can see it’s dark you clot.”
“Oi, cheeky.”
There was a large machine in the room.
“Is this it Author?” queried Sid.
“Yes,” replied I, “it doesn’t work and Lizzie needs transporting from Earth to Thera.”
“So you want us to fix it?”
“Not necessarily, one of you can transport her there.”
“So we’re on earth then?” inquired Sid.
“Yes.”
“I can get some steampunk goggles,” grinned Sid, “that can explain why they’re on the front cover of the book.”
The door burst open and a few people were dragged in, including Lizzie.
