"All right, all right cut," said the Director. "Who put all of this smoke here?"
A stage hand genuflected towards him, "Me Sire."
(Now the director was D'ark, Lord D'ark from the Arth Series. He had found it difficult to get work when the Arth Series had finished and so had become a director. This also meant that, when making the film of 'Sid and Arthur's Steampunk Adventure' he could use his artistic licence to kill them once and for all.)
"Excuse me," I, the Author and creative genius, interrupted my own explanation of D'ark's backstory, "I am in control of what happens to the characters in this book." I thought that would tell him.
"That's as maybe," replied D'ark, "but I'm in control of the Director's cut, and, as an alternative ending of course, I kill off Sid and Arthur."
"Well I suppose..." thought I, "if it's only an alternative ending and you don't really kill them off then I suppose it's OK. Now what's this android called?"
"Andy?" suggested D'ark.
"Andy the android," laughed I in derision.
"Well it's your imagination that's thinking of this stuff, what do you think he should be called?"
