“Quick Sid,” quicked Arthur, “he’s going for Lizzie.” He bobbed down on one leg and took aim with his rifle. Letting off a shot it ricocheted off Traiton.

Sid pulled a silly face, a sort of ‘I knew that would happen’ face. Then he began to run as fast as his little legs would carry him.

“Where are you going?” asked Arthur as he lowered his rifle.

Sid was catching up to the cart, but now he had another problem, how to get on it? Grabbing hold of a bar at the back he held on for dear life. His legs were going even faster now but he managed to pull himself up onto the cart. He looked back to see Arthur shaking his head. “I’ve outthought old beardy,” he grinned, then almost fell off.

Traiton was nearly at the corner where Reena had parked her steamo. (If you don’t know what a steamo is then read the book!) [I might tell you later, I’ll see.]

Sid clambered over the sacks and bits of old scrap that were on the cart.

“How do you expect to stop me dwarf?” boomed Traiton.

The smallish dwarf threw his trusty throwing axe at the horses reins and cut them, “Ha, ha!” he laughed, “me trusty old throwing axe.”

Traiton looked around at him, then leapt off onto the back of the right hand horse.

“Whoops,” whoopsed Sid, “I did not think of that, even though it’s in loads of Westerns.”
