“But you do,” replied Arthur, “you have to explain to us why you don’t want us to explain anything to Lizzie.”

“She needs to believe what’s happening to her is real, so that her reactions are not staged but genuine.”

“Is that it?” wondered Sid, reminiscent of when the Author told Bobby Ball his mother-in-law joke.

“Yes?” replied I quizzically.

“So there’s no other big reason then?” queried Arthur.

“What like?”

“I don’t know, maybe would break down emotionally and mentally if she knew she was only in a story?”

“OK, that as well.”

“Well I think it’s still boring,” gurned Sid.

“So you want to be more than a Scott Bakula in ‘Quantum Leap’?”

“That was 5 series long,” told Sid, "then you found out that ‘God, time, fate, or whatever,’ was directing him to change events in history to the better.”

“So…?”

“Ideas Sid,” commanded Arthur.

“Well we usually have to fight a bad guy. Is there a bad guy in this one Author?”

“Not yet, let me think of one.”

“It could be a bad girl,” suggested Arthur.

“Or maybe an asexual alien,” thought Sid.

“Ooer,” ooered Arthur, “you are a bit weird sometimes Sid.”
