Luke told his brother to leave and that I had drugs and that I didn't know what I was talking about. Surprisingly he believed it. I can't believe no one killed that Jack dude yet. I mean, every Alpha would've known Luke was lying his ass off.

"You know he's going to turn on the full moon and we have no idea when he's going to wake up?" Hemmings said. "Yes. And I'll be here with the full moon to be sure he doesn't hurt anyone since I don't shift on the full moon." "But you still have the other beta to take care of." "Ah yeah. Whatever I'll just take him." "Are you sure?" "Yes Hemmings I am. We can handle them if we work together. Like a team." "Yeah we'll try." He sighed, not believing in it.

"And what do you think? Is this your mate?" He asked. "I think so, yeah. But this dude doesn't look that sweet though. How is he supposed to help me get my control back?" I asked. "I have no idea because you killed the man. I'm having dinner with his wife in like a week, maybe he told her or something. I'll try to figure it out." Luke sighed, bored of my questions.

My phone rang and I grabbed it. Calums name appeared on the screen and I answered his call.

"Calum what's wrong?" I asked. "I HAVE NO IDEA." He said sounding slightly scared of himself. "What happened?" "I ehh.... I sort of lost control at school. First my eyes kept flashing yellow and my fangs grew out. I just ran off to the woods and I almost killed someone." "Calum I'm on my way. Okay stay right where you are, I'll find you. And remember: pain keeps you human." I hung up.

"You owe me one Hemmings, so protect the kid until I'm back." "I owe you for what?" "Because you killed me." I smirked. "Oh, yeah... forgot that. I'll keep an eye on the kid." "Good. Remember I can sense it when you leave this room." I ran out of the hospital and tried to find Calum by scent. "Calum tell me exactly what happened." I said as I got to him. I saw his stomache was covered in blood. Oh god couldn't he just stick his claws into his hands or something?

"I tried to k-k-kill s-someone." He stuttered. "But it wasn't just someone right?" I said looking into his dark brown eyes. He shook his head. "Uh-oh... Don't tell me it was family." I said thinking back to how it felt to me when I actually killed my parents. "Uh... how'd you know?" He asked. "Just a feeling. Who was it?" "It was my sister. Mali." "Is she hurt?" I asked quite worried. "No, no I just scared the hell out of her. Then I got attacked by some kind of animal." Ahh... that sums up why his stomache is bleeding. "Or... it didn't really attack me it just jumped me and ran off." I furrowed my eyebrows. "And this?" I asked, pointing at the blood. When I look at it I knid of feel the pain he feels. So weird and really strange.

"I did it to stay human." He groaned. "God Calum. Next time do something less painfull." I sighed. Calum looked down and then furrowed his eyebrows. "What did you do?" "Nothing why?.... Ohhh." When I looked down I saw what he meant. My stomache started bleeding too. But out of nowhere. I stood straight up and helped Calum up. "Lift your shirt." I said. He did as I said, and I saw 4 scratches going all over his stomache from left to right. I lifted mine and saw the exact same wound, but it wasn't bleeding as bad as his, and they weren't as deep as his. But I bet it hurt just as much. These cuts could be from a branch of a tree or something. I just shrugged.

"I hope you understand you can't go back to school right now?" He nodded. "Okay. You want to come with me?" I asked. "Where?" He asked. "I need to head back to the hospital. "Ah, yeah. That Ashton dude told me about the kid. How is he?" "He's in a coma. What exactly did Ashton tell you?" "He told me that you saved him last night. He told me something about mates, but I have no clue and he couldn't explain it." He shrugged.

"Well, the kid is my mate. And I didn't know what mates were either until Hemmings told me. He said a mate is someone... you feel like you need to protect them, whatever the hell it takes. You feel like you have to do anything to make him or her feel safe and good. Like I protect you. I'm going to keep doing that until you decide if you want to stay with me or you go look for a real pack with a real alpha." "How do you mean a real alpha? Your eyes seem pretty red to me." "But Calum, when I lose control my eyes are completely red. I'm not like you." "Yes you are. You just have a little disorder." He laughed. "Ugh Calum whatever it doesn't even matter. I rather have you leaving to someone who can take better care of you than me. But whatever it's your choice to make. Now come on, are you coming or are you going home?" "Nahh, I'll come." He smirked. I rolled my eyes and started walking, him following me.
