Third person's p.o.v

The drive back home was very different from the drive to the cottage. The drive to the cottage was quiet and heavy. Neither of them spoke and the radio wasn't on. They held hands but it was more like they holding onto each other from slipping away.

But the drive home from the cottage was amazing. The car was filled with music and laugher as the pair sang to songs and danced as Aman drove them home. They held hands occasionally and this time it felt like they knew they belonged together. And it was perfect.

As Aman drove, Lilly leaned over and kissed him gently. Aman smiled and turned down the radio. "What is it love?" He asked turning to face her.

She shook her head and turned to face the window and took in the music playing in the background. "I'm just really happy." Her city was beautiful but she couldn't wait to go back to LA. Their car pulled up to the house. Lilly sat in the car for a moment. She looked down at her hand. The ring looked amazing on her finger and she never imagined being in this position. They stepped out of the car and walked towards the house.

The front door opened and Aaryan ran through and straight into Aman's arms. "Hey buddy! I missed you!"

"I missed you too daddy! And you too mummy!"

"I missed you too baby!" Lilly walked up to Aaryan and kissed his cheek making him laugh.

"I'm not a baby anymore mama! I'm already 6!"

"You will always be her baby Aary." Aman replied squeezing the little boy in his arms.

"Okay okay daddy put me downnnn" he squealed in his arms. Aman put him down and Aaryan ran into the house.

"Ah there are the two lovers." Lilly's dad called out from the door making the pair laugh.

"Hey dad."

"Hello uncle ji."

"I wanna see the ring on my baby's finger." Uncle ji walked towards Lilly. She stretched out her hand towards him. And blushed as she looked down on the floor. Aman looked towards them and smiled as he felt a blush creep up his face. "You did a great job Aman." He commented as he leaned in to plant a kiss on the side of Lilly's head. "You're all grown up now. My little girl is getting married." His eyes began to water.

"Dad...." Lilly trailed off as she hugged him tightly. "I'll always be your little girl."

Returning home to the family was amazing for them both. Tina and her family came over and they had an amazing dinner and got to spend some quality time together laughing and enjoying each other's company. Lilly, Aman and Aaryan were returning to LA the next day. It was the perfect end to their trip.

The next day at the airport Lilly promised them that she would be back as soon as possible. She said bye to the girls and her sister. They promised to visit LA soon. Aman and Harpreet bonded well over this trip and he promised to bring Aman to a basketball game the next time they visited Toronto.

Jora, Kabir and Ajit gave Aaryan toys that they played with together and Aaryan said that he couldn't wait to tell his friends all about the trip when he went back to day care.

The flight back to LA was smooth and they cleared security fast. By the time they got back to the apartment it was 12am and Aaryan fell asleep on the way. Lilly carried him into his room as Aman brought all the bags into the apartment.

Aman dropped the bags near the kitchen counter and dropped his body on the couch. Lilly tucked Aaryan in and walked over to the living room. Aman rolled over and laid on his stomach pressing his face into the pillows. "ughhhh." He groaned.

"I feel the same." Lilly replied. She got to the couch and laid on top of Aman.

"I have about this much energy." He said bringing his fingers together.

"Agreed." Lilly mumbled. She laid a kiss beneath his ear and then on his cheek and rested her head on his back. She tucked her hands under him. They laid like that for a while almost falling asleep. "Let's go to bed Aman." Lilly mumbled before they could fall asleep.

Lilly got off Aman's back. The pair walked off into their bedroom and snuggled under the sheets. "Its good to be home." Lilly whispered as Aman pulled her into his chest.

"Anywhere is home with you beautiful." Aman mumbled and kissed the side of her head. Lilly smiled as she drifted off.
