Carrie Hodge, is Kara's mom, and Barbie's little sister. Carrie always seems to get herself into things and finds it hard to keep a steady job to support herself and none of the less support her teenage daughter as well. Carrie doesn't tell Kara very much about their situation and why she leaves her at Diamondhead. That's why after the first week of Summer, Kara doesn't speak or talk about her.
