My Best Friends Sister

Chapter 9

-Tobins POV-

With soccer season officially starting, I was excited at the chance of showing everyone how good I was. Things were still weird with Moe but we haven't talked since the day we ended things. Alex has been there for me since that day and my feelings for her have grown tremendously. I know we would've already started dating again if it wasn't for Christen. I couldn't describe what I felt for her but I knew it was good. It was something I wanted to feel for a long time.

"Hey Tobs, me and some of the other girls are having a movie night at my house tonight. I was hoping if you wanted to go?" Christen asked me one day after practice. I hoped the other girls weren't Moe and Meghan because I saw enough of their puppy love everyday at practice.

"I would but I kinda have a study thing with Alex later," I replied. I saw jealousy in her eyes when I said that which made her look hotter for some reason.

"She can come too if you want. You can stay for just one movie, I just want you to go," She pleaded with me. I figured I might as well ask Alex if she wanted to go since we weren't really going to be studying.

"Yeah I'll ask her. Text me your address later," I said. She beamed at me and hugged me.

"Thanks my Tobin. I can't wait to see you later," she said in my ear. I smiled at her and walked to my moms car, waiting for me as always. My mom turned her head suddenly after seeing that I had caught her staring.

"Mom what'd I say about spying on me?" I asked her as I got into the car.

"It wasn't spying honey, I was just waiting for you and I wanted to see what you were doing with your girlfriend there," my mom replied. I almost spit out my water.

"Well she isn't actually my girlfriend mom," I told her.

"If you need help asking her out I have some ideas. Your dad did some really cute things for me back in the day," she offered. I pretended to think a moment before declining.

I didn't know what or who I wanted and I thought I should wait before I ask anyone out. Soon, we arrived home and I quickly changed out of my training clothes. I felt my phone buzz a moment later and saw it was Alex.

"Hey Alex," I answered.

"Hey I was wondering if we're still on for tonight?" she asked nervously. It was rare for her to be nervous.

"Um yeah why?" I replied. I didn't think now was a good time to tell her about the movie with Christen later.

"No reason. I really just wanted to make sure you were coming. I kind of have something planned so maybe dress nice okay?" Her voice was shaky. It was so cute when she was nervous.

"Don't worry please. I'll be there in a few hours alright?" I told her. Whatever she was planning, it scared me. What if she asked me out? Lately she's been clingy almost and while I do like that, I don't want to lead her on if I do decide I want Christen. How'd I get so lucky with two gorgeous girls?

I decided to pick out the nicest shirt and jeans I had, since I didn't own any dresses or anything.  After finding something that I thought Alex would like, the doorbell rang downstairs. I could hear my mom answering it and a familiar voice spoke soon after. I hoped it wasn't any of the girls. I stayed in my room and for a second I thought I was lucky with this hope thing. A minute later, my door opened and a smiling Christen appeared.

"Hey you," she said, still smiling that wide smile at me.

"Hey. Missed me already?" I asked. She laughed and sat on my bed.

"Only a lot," she winked at me. I felt butterflies just looking at her.

"Well I'm glad you're here," I tried to appear calm and it must've worked because she came closer.

"Tobin, I have something to tell you but you have to come tonight to hear it. Okay?" she begged. I couldn't tell if it was good or bad.

"I have this thing with Alex tonight. I'm really sorry. Can we hang out tomorrow?" I asked her. She looked sad at that and hesitated before agreeing.

"Yeah that'll be okay I guess. Have fun tonight okay," she said as she walked out of my room. As soon as she left, I laid back on my bed. I already missed her. I missed a lot of people actually and I knew they were both planning something. I had a decision coming up and I didn't want to choose. I needed both of them.

I haven't updated in forever so sorry about that. Things have been crazy and I need to update more and thanks for telling me to update because i tend to listen when people get on me about that. thank you if you're still reading after all this time.
