Chapter 16: I'm Sorry

"You two! To my office. Now." Mikoto stated as she got to Sakura. "Are you hurt sweety? These two are too cruel to let you to witness such a scene." Mikoto said as she checked Sakura for injuries. Sakura sweat drop and said "I'm perfectly fine, Mikoto-san." 'If anything those two will be the injured one.' Sakura thought. "Just come to me if anything is painful, alright?" Mikoto said, smiling. Mikoto pulled the two by their ear and got into the elevator. 'It's like I wasn't even here.' Shisui thought, sulking in the corner.

A few days after the incident...

Sakura walked towards the Uchiha corps. building, but what she heard made her stop. "Can't you see? I used you to make Sasuke think I didn't do anything. I put all the blame onto you." A high pitched voice said, laughing. Sakura peeked and saw Itachi talking to a girl. "Go back to him and tell him what you did." Itachi said monotonously. "How many times do I have to tell you 'I won't'? Now look at how pitiful you look." The girl smirked as she said this.

Itachi clenched his fist and walked away. Sakura hid nearby and saw Itachi passby. Sakura got out of her hiding place and walked towards the office. Sakura walked in and saw Sasuke typing. "You're late." Sasuke said, not even looking up.

"Hey, boss." Sakura said, sitting infront of Sasuke's desk. "Yeah?" Sasuke asked. "I have proof." Sakira said, taking out her phone. "Of?" Sasuke asked. "Your girlfriend." Sakura said, playing the record.
Girl: "Can't you see? I used you to make Sasuke think I didn't do anything. I put all the blame onto you."
Itachi: "Go back to him and tell him what you did."
Girl: "How many times do I have to tell you 'I won't'? Now look at how pitiful you look."

Sasuke's eyes widened at this. He suddenly stood up, leaving Sakura to herself. Sakura sighed and sat back down. "He better talk to Itachi." She told herself.

Sasuke pushed the doors to Itachi's office, making Itachi and Kisame look up. "I'm sorry." Sasuke said, looking down. "What?" Kisame asked, staring at Sasuke in shock. "I know now the truth. I'm so sorry. I was such an idiot to believe a simple lie rather than my own brother. I regret everything I told you. Please, frogive me!" Sasuke said bowing. By this time his tears start to fall endlessly.

Itachi stood up and walked over to Sasuke. "Otouto." Itachi said, hugging Sasuke. 'Thank you, Sakura.' Itachi thought as Sasuke hugged him back.
