6 June 2014, Coface Arena (Mainz stadium)

No one cared about the fact that Germany had smashed Armenia in a friendly match, winning 6-1, every one in the dressing room was a little bit sad with what happened to one of their teammates in the pitch.

Marco Reus had sustained a partial tear of an ankle ligament and is expected to be out for six or seven weeks, in other words Marco was ruled out of the World Cup.

Everyone fell sorry for him. It was a big blow to the squad specially because Marco had made an amazing season, the best German in action by far. He was going to be missed during the World Cup.

"How is he," Thomas asked Mario, they were both finishing getting ready.

Mario shook his head in disbelieve, " Not good, he is shattered with what happen. I talked to him on the phone right after the match, he cried."

Muller sighed, he didn't want to be in Marco's shoes right now, " It's going to be tough for him."

"Yeah, he had never had a big injury like this one, and having it the day before going to Brazil..." Mario said.

"Really bad luck. Has coach said anything about this," Thomas asked curious.

"No, he is still in shock with what happen to Marco. Everyone in here knows that he was on top of his game, he had one hell of a season...its going to be hard to substitute him," Mario confessed, sad. He was along with Andre one of Marco's closest friend in the squad; they were really close friends since their time in Borussia Dortmund.

"Yeah, well will see what coach will do in the coming hours," Thomas said putting his things in his bag, " Is Marco going to stay all night in the hospital?"

"No, but he will stay there for a couple more hours. We still see him in the hotel," Mario said, smiling sadly.

All news where talking about Marco Reus missing the World Cup and Sky Sport wasn't an exception, every commentator was saying that Germany had just get a big blow because Marco was one of their top players and he had proved that by making on hell of a season for Dortmund.

Lena was in the team's hotel in Mainz, she had done all the reports she could and now, as a Marco's friend she wanted to know how he was handling his injury. She was at the bar drinking a beer while liking instagram photos. Tomorrow they all flew to Brazil; the World Cup was days away.

"Carole, hey." Lena said soon she answered the call, she could predict very well why was Carole calling.

"How is he, Lena? I talked to his mom but she didn't say much because he was still in the hospital," Carole asked concerned, in a very weak voice. For someone that spent most of the time fight and arguing with Marco, Carole was pretty concerned.

"I don't know much either, he hasn't come back to the hotel yet. I'm waiting for them and for Marco," she replied.

"Ok, I'm going to call Mario, maybe be knows more. Thanks though," Carole said, weakly.

"You're welcome, Carole. Wait...Have you been crying," Lena asked, she could see from Carole's voice that she was not ok, specially for someone that had a boyfriend and supposedly hated Marco.

"What? No...of course not," Carole replied quickly, " I've got to go, I still need to call Mario."

"Ok, but don't think that I forget about this. Bye, see you tomorrow," Lena replied smiling, that friend of hers liked Marco since forever and he liked her back but they were just very damn to see.
