29 June 2014, Campo Bahia
They had start the morning with a light training. There was no need for them to get tired twice today since in the afternoon they had to flight out to Porto Alegre, where they will face Algeria. The match was in one day and they needed to rest so the plane ride was due to the afternoon.
Thomas made his usual bag, it was just for two days. He put his electronics and some other of his essentials, it wasn't necessary normal clothes since they would always wear there DFB training kits.
"Hey, do you know anything about Lenny?" Toni asked as he walked into Thomas room. He was also eating some snacks.
Thomas shook his head while he put the laptop in the suitcase. " I don't know much. I called her in the morning and she said the doctors still hadn't passed in her room to informed her if she was going stay there or not."
"Well, that isn't too bad. We only have to wait until she says something." Toni said, smiling. He also liked Lenny, she was friends with his wife and she was fun to be around. "And how are you and Bastian?"
Thomas sighed. " Not very good and not very bad," he sat in his bed and look at his friend. " His mad at me, which I totally understand, I would too but it's Basti. We're friends since I could remember..."
"Well, it could have been worse. You could have ended fighting and not speaking with each other again, which would be difficult since you both play in the same national team and club. Anyway, its normal for now. His hurt and needs to get his mind and feelings healed." Toni gave his honesty opinion. At this point they couldn't do anything, they had to wait and see how things were going to progress.
Thomas sighed, " Your right, but it sucks. Let's hope this doesn't screw us tomorrow."
"It won't." Toni said firmly, he knew the two well. They were two nut heads but if there was on thing they loved was playing for Germany and they all had the dream to win the World Cup, and that's what they were going to do. " You guys are in a bad place but you still understand each other in the pitch, and right now, that's what it matters."
"I guess your right." Thomas agreed.
Then, his cellphone ranged. Thomas stood up from the bed and answered the call, smiling soon he saw the ID. " Hey, how are you doing?"
"Much better." Lenny answered softly, " so, the doctor just came by and he said that in a couple of hours he is going to clear me. I'm going back to the hotel."
"That's great news," Thomas said excited, while Toni chuckled from behind, amused with the scene. He was still getting used to have Thomas talking more then normally with Lenny. " Do you need me to ask someone to pick you up?"
"No, thanks for the offer though. I already called Alex and his going to pick me up along with Wolfgang." Lenny informed him.
"Ok." Thomas said with a wide smile, she was coming back." You've got lucky, I'll still see you for a couple of hours before we leave to Porto Alegre."
"Well, I had to be lucky with something didn't I?" Lenny teased.

When Lenny walked inside the lobby of the hotel, she felt relief and happy. The pool scare was over and she was back with the guys and with her news team. Everything was going back to normal. She was sad for not being able to accompany the DFB team and her Sky Sport team to Porto Alegre, she had to wait still three or four more days for getting back to doing her usual daily life.
"Hey," Thomas said softly soon he saw her. He was in the lobby waiting for her along with a couple more players. He was the first to say something. " How are you?" He asked as he came closer and hugger gently.
