PART 4
"Mia may I speak with you please." Luke smiles as he walks into the room, Dave following behind him.
"Guys you have 30 minutes until you need to get on stage!" Dave informs the boys.
I nod and walk over to Luke."Seeing as you can't watch the show from the crowd, you can watch from back stage. It's all cleared and if you want, you can come back to the tour bus afterwards." Luke smiles.
I raise my eyebrows. "Seriously?!" I squeal.
"Yeah, is it okay for you?" He smiles again.
I nod. "Thank you so much! You've saved me from Hayley for a while! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!" I cry with happiness and fling my arms around him.
He picks me up and hugs me tight."Anything for a fan." He grins.
A fan.
Just a fan.
That's what I am.
A fan, and only a fan.
That's what I'll always be.The words ring through my head. I know I'm a fan. I know I'm stupid. But I don't even know. I need to stop.
I get down from Luke and smile."Come with me, I'll show you to wear you'll be when we are playing." Luke grins and takes my hand.
I follow behind him, weakly holding his hand. Would he hold another fans hand like this? Would he pick them up?
Of course he would. "Anything for a fan."
Why would I be special? I'm just a stupid, deluded fan girl. I should've let Hayley beat me up even more to be honest. Or not followed Dave. I wish I could've just gone to the concert and never done any of this.
I feel so shitty it's unreal."This is Cara." Luke smiles and points to a tall woman dressed in all black. "She's our props manager, and she'll be taking care of you when we're on stage. You want a drink, ask Cara. She'll get you anything you want." Luke smiles.
Cara waves at me and I wave back.
"I'll leave you here, I need to sort my hair." He laughs and let's go of my hand.
Quickly, he pulls me into a hug and whispers "See you soon" before leaving.
Butterflies play in my stomach as I watch Luke walk away.I turn to see cara smiling at me and giggling like a young girl.
"What?" I giggle and blush."He really likes you, you know that, right?" She grins at me and pulls her ginger hair into a high, messy ponytail.
"I'm only a fan, he really likes all of them." I smile, slightly sadly.
She shakes her head. "I've seen him with many fans, but he's different with you. He really likes you. You aren't just a fan to him." Cara explains in a whisper.
I blush profusely and shake my head. "I don't believe you."Luke doesn't like me. Of course he doesn't. I'm not pretty. I'm not perfect. I'm nothing... Just another fan.
About 20 minutes pass and the countdown for the boys begins. I hear the crowd roar from back stage. I know Hayley is part of them, she's one of the people screaming... I shiver, remembering the incident with her and myself.
As the countdown ends, I hear Ashton bang the drums hard and the boys begin to quickly strum, creating tension.
The screams get louder and louder as the pace of the guitars, bass and drums get faster before finally they lead into the first song.
The crowd begin to go crazy, along with myself and Cara, who's surprisingly excited about the boy's show. She must've seen this one thousand times by now.
We both scream and begin to dance as the boys play their songs and sing.
I can't help but cry as I remember that I am backstage and I've hugged Luke and Michael, plus I've met them all! I can't believe this day. Maybe it's all a very detailed dream? I desperately hope not. When the boys finally play their last song, the crowd go silent and turn on their phone lights. I see all the lights from backstage and can't help but stare at the back of Luke, imagining his face looking into the crowd. Scanning over their faces as he sings the lyrics of his song. When he sings the last word, the guitar strings ring and they take a bow.
"THANK YOU LONDON!" Calum shouts into the mic.
"YOU'VE BEEN AMAZING!!" Michael screams and puts his guitar down.
He throws his guitar pick into the crowd, another loud scream erupting. Before Calum throws his and Ashton throws his drum sticks. They all throw their water bottles before jumping over each other and leaving the stage. The crowd still screams as they approach me.
I run to Luke and wrap my arms around his sweaty torso."You did so good! That was amazing!!" I cry and he kisses the top of my head.
Butterflies fill my stomach again and my heart flutters.
"Thanks babe. We'll meet you back at the tour bus, we have to meet some fans. Dave will escort you." He explains breathlessly.
We stare into each other's eyes and he wraps his arms around my waist.
"Before I go..." He whispers, pulling me into a kiss. Our lips lock for a second and my eyes shut tightly.
"I love you" he smiles at me as we pull away.
"I love you too, bye Luke."
I walk with Dave to the huge tour bus.
Luke kissed me? The realisation is suddenly hitting me. Oh my god.
Mia don't get too over excited. You're just a fan. Only a fan. Don't think you're special. Keep playing it cool...
