3 Years Later...

"MUMMY!!" I hear my son, Jacob, shout from his bedroom.

I yawn and look at my alarm clock, groaning to see its 3am.

I rush through to Jacob's room and wipe my eyes.

"Are you okay?" I whisper and walk over to his bed to see him crying under the covers.

I pull the covers away from him and cradle him in my arms.

"What's wrong baby?" I whisper into his ear, hearing him sniffle quietly.

"I had a nightmare." He cries.

I rub his back softly.

"Ohhh darling. Tell me what it was about and we can go downstairs and get you some milk and cookies." I smile and run my fingers through his brown, wispy hair.
I slowly pick him up and put him on the ground beside his bed and take his hand.

He wipes his eyes and looks up innocently at me.

"What cookies do we have?" He whispers and squeezes my hand gently.

"We have chocolate chip, your favourite." I smile.

He smiles back at me and we race down the stairs, our footsteps echoing on the marble floor.
I open the cupboard door and sit him on the sofa in the living room, wrapping a blanket round him.
Slowly I pull out the cookies and pour out some milk for Jacob, before making myself some coffee. If only Calum was here to help me with Jacob...  If only he knew. I wipe my tears away from my eyes and take the snacks and our drinks through the Jacob, who is still snivelling.
I hand him his milk and rub his cheek.

"Now, tell me what was wrong." I smile and pull him close to me as he sips his milk.

"I-I dreamt that my daddy came here and he took me away..." He sobs.

Jacob is only three and he dreams about that. What child dreams about that?! He's so clever for his age. He knows so much.

"That will never happen, Jakey." I assure him.

"I'm sorry mummy." He whispers and puts his milk down.

I giggle and wipe his milk moustache. He giggles and takes a bite of a cookie before yawning.

When we finish our snacks and I tuck him into my bed and then get in myself. Slowly he drifts off to sleep, leaving me glaring into the darkness.
I need some sleep, I have work tomorrow. I won't be able to take good photos if I'm tired...
My heavy eyes eventually shut and I drift into a heavy sleep.

A loud alarm begins to screech at me and Jacob shoots up. I feel him come close to my face before prying my eyes open. His large brown eyes stare into mine innocently. He looks just like Calum did.

"Time to get up mummy!!" He screeches at me.

I yawn and stretch my arms before swinging my legs out of bed and putting Jacob on the floor.

"Time to get ready for school." I smile and take his hand, leading him into his room.

He runs to his to his wardrobe and grabs his school polo, jumper and trousers before handing them to me.
I change his clothing and make sure he looks tidy before taking him to the bathroom.

"Let's clean them toothies!" I grin to him and sit him on his step in the bathroom.

"Mum, I'm not two anymore. You can just say teeth." He assures me.

I giggle. Aw he's like a little man. He's only three!

"Alright then, let's clean them teeth Jakey." I smile and put the toothpaste on his toothbrush, handing it to him and letting him brush his teeth whilst I clean mine.

We both finish our teeth and smile at each other.

"Perfect!" We both gleam before I wash his face with a flannel.

"Finished, Little Man." I smile. "Now, I need to get ready." I giggle to him.
He follows me into my bedroom and swings open my wardrobe doors.

"Right, I have very important clients today. I have no idea who they are but I have to take photographs of them for a magazine or something. So help me pick a cute outfit." I smile to Jacob, who's already considering outfits.

We do this every morning, he loves it.
He tugs at a navy blue dress with a white bow on the front.

"This one mummy." He says, handing me the dress.

I quickly change into it and look at myself in the mirror. I put a push up bra on and glare at myself.

"Isn't it a bit you know, show-y?" I ask and spin in the dress, making it flounce out.

He shakes his head. "I like it mummy" his innocent voice whispers.

I smile. "If you're sure."

I quickly go and do my hair and makeup, curling my hair and putting in half up half down before picking up Jacob and carrying him downstairs.

"What would you like for breakfast?" I ask, smiling.

"Toastyyyy!!" Jacob grins.

I make him some toast. He finishes it and I put on his school shoes before pulling on some white heels, grabbing my camera and my car keys.
I drive Jacob to school before getting to the studio.

"Good morning Miss Banaché." I hear my personal assistant, Peter, say.

I spin on my heels.

"Morning, Pete." I smile.

He walks towards me and gives me the brief of the photo shoot.

"The clients are just through here. Make sure the photos are good, we are getting a lot of money for this." He smirks at me.
I smile and roll my eyes.

"Don't I always take good photos?" I smirk at him and stride towards the door.

As I see the clients, my heart drops. I know these people. They know me. And let's just say, we didn't leave each other on good terms.
