"Surprise!" Shawn cried out and I glared at him. "I can't believe you brought him here!" I whisper yelled at him. I turned my head again seeing Carter my older brother. "Well I thought that you would have liked to see him considering it's been so long since you guys have talked." He said. Seeming quiet disappointed at my reaction. "It was a really sweet thing of you to do Shawn but there is a reason that I haven't talked to him for years." I sighed. I kissed his lips. "Well can I at least try to make things right between you two?" He asked I sighed again but reluctantly gave in. I have to talk to my brother. Shawn got out of the car an I told him I was just getting my purse but really I texted summer telling her where I was and what had happened. She told me she was coming. I hopped out of the car walking up to Shawn and lacing my hand in his. "Hey Maddy!" Carter smiled and I glared coldly. "Carter!" I shot back not paying much attention to him. "Yo Shawn!" He called out as if he were fifty feet away even though he was standing right I front of him. "Hey bro!" Shawn said giving him a bro hug an then coming back over to me. "So you and my sister hey." He mugged Shawn and winked at him. Shawn opened his mouth to say something but Carter cut him off. "Not by choice I'm guessing." He teased Shawn laughed where as I still had that same cold glare that I have had on my face since I saw him. "Ok can I ask what happened between you two?" Shawn said braking the glaring battle the two of us were engaged in. "Sure," carter said. "So four years ago," I began. "On my birthday. I had a new boyfriend. I had finally gotten over this terrible break up I had in high school that was like the worst thing to have ever happened to me also known as our breakup." I said. "It was my birthday and I had invited this boy over. Carter didn't like him. He was tall and he rode a motorcycle he always wore the same leather jacket. He has blue eyes." I said getting lost in my fantasy world. Shawn looked aggravated. "Ok ok we get it Mr. Perfect now get on with the story already!" He said making me laugh. "Carter told me he didn't like him but I didn't care. I liked him and that's what mattered but carter being the selfish bitch he is had to do something. So he threatened the guy. He told him that if he didn't break up with me than he was gonna tie him to a chair and drive his motorcycle into him. So he left dumping me on my birthday. And then carter told me that he hadn't likes you either. And that's why we broke up I cried for two days at the fact that my brother would do that to me. And to top it all off he got a call saying he was going to magcon again on my birthday which he invited his girlfriend to I might at. And decided to take her with him instead if me. And then made you change your number and whipped my contacts so I couldn't talk to you or my other boyfriend again." I said. "So moral of the story. If it weren't for cater. We could have been in a relationship in high school and after, I might not have cut and I wouldn't be so depressed." I said smiling falsely at both of them. "Can I leave now." I asked Shawn who sat me Down. "No! Even though carter did break us up and ruined our lives he deserves a chance to defend himself. Got anything to say for yourself carter?" Shawn asked in a strange tone that I have never heard him use before. But I though it was sexy. "There are reasons that I took Melissa instead of you. And I also have reasons for not talking to you." Carter folded his arms over his chest. "Shawn can we just go?" I pleaded and he sat me down again. "I know you want to but babygirl we gotta fix this." He sighed and kissed my forehead. "I took Melissa because I thought I was in love with her an I never even thought about taking you. I didn't think that you'd want to come. Plus of you haven't noticed I'm protective as Fuck man. I wouldn't let you date Shawn because I didn't like the way he dressed for Christ sakes Maddy." He yelled running his hand threw his hair. "Than why?!" I yelled. "Tell me why you don't talk to me anymore?" I asked throwing my hands in the air. "Tell me!" I yelled at him and he sighed. "Remember when you used to tell me everything. And I mean everything." He sighed. "When you didn't I started getting suspicious and I talked to your friends asking about you and stuff and they said that you had lost your virginity to Shawn. I was really mad at you and Shawn. So I broke you two up and then you got mad at me an broke me and Melissa up. I was so mad at you that I begged her to come to magcon with me so that I could fix things and stopped talking to you." He said. "But I didn't loses my virginity in high school. I lost it to Shawn yes but not in high school. Who did you ask?" I was just about to snap. "Melissa's sister bu-" I cut him off. "She hates me. She is like my enemy. Even mom and dad knew that." I sighed. "Why didn't you ask summer." He looked at his shoes. "You are probably just gonna hate me more but I don't like her either." He said and as if on cue I heard summers voice. "Good because I have never liked you either," she walked up to me hugging me tightly. "You hurt my best friend and that can either mean A you make things right or B I spend a hell of a long time in prison." She said getting all up in his face. "She means it," I added and she shrugged. "I also have a knife collection and you address." She smiled falsely. I was burning with rage I turned a dark shade of red and balled my fists. "Love calm down it's not good for the baby." Shawn whispered. "A what now!" Cater half screamed. "No of your fucking business." I yelled in his face. "Shawn I'm going home wether you are gonna take me or not." I sighed walking towards the door but tripping and hitting my head in something. After that I completely blacked out.
