"That's a good question. What do you think we should name him?" I turned to Shawn as Sabrina handed Maggie the baby. "I have no idea." Sabrina and Summer smiled. "We have a list." They read name for name off of the list until one caught my attention. "What was that last one?" The looked up. "Easton?" I nodded my head. "What do you think Shawn," he looked at our baby and then at me nodding. "Easton Arian Finnegan Mendes." I smiled. "I like it," Maggie handed me my baby back. "I wanna hold him too," Summer whined from the corner. "So come here." I laughed. I held the tiny child in my arms. She walked over to us. I put the baby in her arms. "Congrats you guys." They smiled. "Thank you," I kissed Shawn's cheek. "What are you gonna do for your honeymoon." Maggie asked. "He's gonna come with us." I nodded without hesitation. "Mhm and then were gonna make another one," Shawn kissed me gently making me laugh. "Ok first gross second there is a child in the room," Sabrina laughed. Summer handed me back my baby. I held the child against my shoulder. "The guys are here with the stuff." Summer out her phone back into her pocket. "He needs to be fed." A nurse popped her head in the door. "Alright," they all started walking out. "We'll send the guys in." Summer smiled. I held the child in my arms and prepared for feeding. "Your gonna be a great mom," he kissed me gently as little Easton latched on. "And you will make an amazing dad," he smiled looking at the baby. His eyes were wide open. He just stared in front of him. "Hi," Shawn laughed. Easton sucked gently getting the food he needs. The guys stood at the door. "Come in," Shawn laughed. He still stared at my chest. "He's so small," Cameron smiled. He stopped eating and I handed him to Shawn for a second. I fixed myself up before grabbing the burp cloth Cam was holding for me. I put it over my shoulder taking the child from Shawn and burping him on my shoulder. "How do you know what to do? I thought you were the youngest in you family," I laughed. "I have no idea. It just comes naturally I guess." He threw up a little on the cloth. I wiped his mouth. "Wanna hold him," I looked at Nash who smiled as he hiccuped. "Ok," I handed him the child. "I've never seen anything so small," he laughed. "Still my kid," he kissed me. His eyes were open and he looked around the room. Nash changed the position he was holding him in and Easton looked frightened as he stared at Nash. "It's ok bud," he laughed handing the baby to Cam and then Taylor. They handed me the baby back. "I never knew I could love two people so much," I rested my head on Shawn's shoulder and I held my baby against me. "I think you two should both get some rest," Shawn kissed my head as they sent in the last bunch of people. Maddox and Carter were the first two into the room. "Can I hold him?" Maddox smiled at me. Easton looked around the room at all of the new and unfamiliar faces. "Hi," Maddox smiled at him. "I'm your uncle," he laughed a little. "One of your many. Many uncles." He took the child from my arms. I smiled at how engaged they were. Shawn held me close to him. "You did it baby." He kissed my neck. "Shawn stop," I whined. He licked around my neck. "Shawn," I whined. They had passed the baby around and now he was coming back to us. "Stop Shawn. I have to take the baby back," I giggled. He moved so he sat behind me. His legs around me had his arms around mine. I took the tiny child back. He wasn't wearing any clothes. Just a diaper. He looked at me and Shawn and he seemed so terrified. "We'll leave you two well I guess you three alone," they walked out the door. "Hi," I smiled at the baby. "I'm your mommy," I looked down at his still terrified expression. "And this is your daddy," Shawn's head popped over my shoulder and he jumped slightly and then started crying. "I'm sorry baby. I didn't mean to scare you." I put one of the soothers Cam had gotten for him into his mouth. He stopped crying. "I don't think it was you. I think he's overwhelmed." His eyes slowly closed. "Good night Easton," I yawned as well. "Baby you need sleep." I leaned my head back on his shoulder. "No I don't," I yawned again. "Ya you do," I checked the time. "Happy birthday," I kissed him. "You know. I think you gave me the best birthday present anyone ever could." He ran his fingers softly over Easton's face. I smiled. "I love you both so much." Shawn stood up. "Baby go to sleep. I'll worry about Easton," I sat up and kissed him again. "I don't know what I would do without you," I kissed him laying down. I held me baby on my chest. "Am I allowed to hold him?" Shawn laughed. "I just don't want to let him go." I looked at the little amount of hair he had on his head. "He's gonna look so much like you," I kissed Shawn's jaw bone. "No he won't. He's gonna look like you," Easton was curled in a ball on top of me. I slowly closed my eyes drifting to sleep. I could feel the child get picked up. But still I didn't move. Shawn was right. I needed sleep. When I woke up I heard quiet cries and Shawn's voice singing. The cries soon stopped. I opened mu eyes and smiled at the image. Shawn held the child in his arms and bounced up and down a little bit while he sang to him." I took a picture and set it as my background. "Good morning," I looked out the open window to see the sun high In the sky. His cries erupted again. "Give him here. I think he's hungry." Shawn nodded walking towards me. "It's either that or you need to change his diaper." I looked at Shawn. "I hope it's the first one," he laughed. I checked his diaper. "I actually think it's both. But I'll change the diaper for you," I reached my hand out and he gave me everything I needed. I quickly changed his diaper and put some clothes on him. They were too big but they looked cute. His eyes were open. "He has a lazy eye." I smiled. Shawn walked towards us looking at him and smiling. "He does," Shawn smiled. I prepared myself to feed him. "How did I get so lucky," he latched on right away. "I wonder the same thing everyday." He kissed my forehead. Easton had his eyes closed but still he ate. Shawn sat next to me. "The wedding is tomorrow. We fly out tonight." I looked down at the baby. "Do you think he'll be ready to fly," Shawn looked at him. "If you could do it so can he." I smiled. He stopped eating. "Wanna burp him," I looked at Shawn who nodded. "I wanna do as much as I can." I laughed putting the burp cloth on his shoulder. "Rub you hand up and down his back and then pat it gently every once in a while." I fixed myself up and Shawn did as told. It was a lot harder for him though because our child was the size of his hand. "Awe that's so cute," his mom walked through the door. "I'm sorry for barging in." She smiled meekly at the two of us. Easton threw up on Shawn's shoulder. "Ok your good babe." I wiped his mouth a little bit and then I took the cloth from Shawn. "Are you gonna sign the release papers?" A nurse asked Shawn. "Yes I am," he handed me the child. "I'll get the seat too," he smiled walking out. "You excited. Your wedding is tomorrow. You three fly out tonight." She looked troubled as she finished the sentence. "Is he fit to fly," I shrugged. "I hope so." Easton now slept in my arms. "I've never seen him so engaged in anything besides his music." His mother smiled at me and the little boy. "I know. He wants so badly to help out. I think it's really sweet," I smiled as I stood starting to pack up all of the things we had for him. G knocked softly on the door. "Hi love. How are you feeling," he walked towards me. "I feel good." I looked at the sleeping child that lay in my arms. "How is he doing," he looked at me. "He's fine. They said he's healthy and good. He's pretty normal for a premature baby." I kissed Easton's forehead. "That's awesome. But I meant Shawn." I looked through the door and I could see him at the desk signing the papers. "He's just-" I paused and looked down at him. "Amazing. He's so helpful." Shawn's mom reached her hands out for me to give her then infant so I could pack up. I folded all of the blankets and stuff putting it all into one bag. "How'd you do that," G seemed so amazed. "I just organized it." Shawn walked back through the door with the seat and a blanket. "They taught me how to swaddle," he seemed so excited. He took the baby from his mom and took the blanket and began swaddling. "Now can I hold him?" G chuckled outstretching his arms. I looked making sure he was asleep before giving him to G. "I'm you grandpa." G started talking to the sleeping child. "I love you so much," I kissed Shawn gently. "I'm so happy," I kissed him again. G put him down in the seat. He didn't buckle it or anything. "If you guys ever need anything. Just call," G walked out of the room. "You guys are always welcome," Shawn mom smiled walking out. I buckled up his seat and changed into the clothes Shawn brought me. "If were bringing him on the plane there's a couple things I need." Our bags were packed already. "Alright darling. Give me the list and I'll get them. You two can stay home." He grabbed the seat in his hands and I grabbed the bag. "You are the best boyfriend in the world," I kissed his jaw as we walked out into the main lobby. "I'm almost your husband." He smiled. We had taken the blanket off of Easton and draped it over the car seat so that he could sleep easier. Everybody was in the waiting room. Maddox and Sabrina walked up to us. They both hugged me and then hugged Shawn. "Congratulations. He is such a beautiful little child." Sabrina smiled. "I want a baby," she looked at Maddox. "Ok let's go make one," he kissed her. "No let's wait," she giggled kissing his cheek. I laughed as they walked away. Summer and JJ walked up to us. "It seems every time the whole family comes to the hospital it's for you two," JJ bro hugged Shawn while Summer hugged me. "He's perfect," she whispered in my ear. Shawn and JJ talked briefly. "We'll see you later today." They walked out. I rested my head on Shawn's shoulder. "I love you," I kissed his neck. "I love you too," soft cries came from the seat and Shawn walked to the chairs of the waiting room. "You wanna do it," he nodded. I just stood next to them." He took the blanket off and smiled at the infant. Drool ran down his face making both Shawn and I laugh. I handed him the cloth and he wiped his face. He covered the seat and his cries started again. "I think he's afraid of the dark," I laughed. Shawn unbuckled the seat and took the blanket putting it just so that it covered his body. He put it so it covered his head a little bit. "I've got the seat," I nodded to Shawn. I walked out first and the bright flash of cameras hit me. "Go back in," I waved at Shawn who was reluctant but walked in because of the child on his shoulder I handed him the buckets seat as well before anyone could notice. "Maddy over here!" Someone dragged me in one direction. "Hospitalized again? Tell what roll does Shawn play in this whole situation?" Another person dragged me. "Speaking of where's Shawn. This is the second time i haven't seen him with you what happened?" Someone shoved their camera in my face. "Stop your hurting me," I said weakly. G came out. "Enough pictures!" He growled ripping me from their grip. I re entered the building. "Shawn," I looked around finally finding them. "Are you guys ok," I looked at the even more frightened child. I sighed. "Are you ok shawn," he looked at the baby and then at me. "No," he used his finger to wipe the drool on Easton's face. "They hurt you and I didn't stop them," he looked at the child who blew spit bubbles. He looked a lot more relaxed after seeing just the two of our faces. "But Shawn. I told you not to," I smiled to myself. "I'm just surprised you listened." He chuckled. "I was holding an infant and being held down." He glared at the guys. "Plus I know you don't want pictures of our baby all over social media," he kissed me gently. "But I wanted to help you," "Shawn. You have been nothing but helpful." I kissed him gently and took the baby from the seat and put him on my shoulder. "You guys can use the back entrance if you want. We could get someone to bring your car back there if that helps," a nurse smiled at us. Shawn nodded. "I can get the car but the side entrance Is helpful thank you," he stood grabbing the keys and kissing me one last time. I held the baby in my arms. "You have an amazing daddy," I watched Shawn walk through the door. "That loves you so much," Cam walked up to me. "Congrats." He looked at Easton. "Thanks," I smiled at Cameron while - rested on my shoulder. Once I was sure he was asleep I put him back in the car seat and put the blanket over it. I grabbed the car seat and the bag. "See you guys at the airport," I held the seat in my hands and the bag on my shoulder. Shawn walked through the door grabbing the seat from me and putting it in the back. I got into the back next to him while Shawn drove away. "So what do you need for the plane love," he pulled out of the hospital parking lot. "I need a carrier so that he sits on my front. And I need a portable stroller." Shawn nodded pulling into our driveway. "Welcome home baby," I whispered. Shawn stopped the car taking the things out of the back. I got the baby and walked inside. I brought him up the stairs. "Baby where'd you go?" Shawn called from downstairs. "I'm up here," I called. "With the second half of your birthday present." He walked up the stairs. "I told you, you guys are all the gift I need." He kissed my head. "This isn't one I could really give back," I led him to the spare bedroom. It was painted blue. There was white detailing at the top. A crib with a change table. A couple toys and a card that read happy birthday. "Wow. This is like a gift for the both of us huh Easton," he had more spit running down his face. Shawn smiled. "I have to run out and go get that stuff you gonna stay here?" I looked at the baby. "Yeah. I'm tired," I yawned. "Alright try to get some sleep before we leave tonight." He kissed me and then kissed our baby boys forehead. "Your dad is gonna spoil you." I laughed. "He loves you more than anything," I took the child from his car seat and put him in the crib. He whined. I took him to the rocking chair in the corner. I started humming softly. He still didn't calm down. So I began singing one of Shawn's songs. He calmed down. I continued singing until he was asleep. I held him in my arms and yawned before closing my eyes. I still held him tightly. "Sweet dreams." I yawned falling asleep as well.
