Hello, All! Here's the first installment of my celebratory 2 chapters in one day spree.

Enjoy, and thanks for the 8.2K! (WOW. 2.5 hundred more reads in ONE NIGHT? You guys are the best)

Love you all,

Lily

P.S. I love this "Rose picture"!

Scorpius's POV:

After Al had sat down with flushed cheeks next to me and far from Faith, Headmaster Potter finished the remarks he'd been making before his son's interruption.

"I don't want to distract you all from your eating too long," he said, "but remember, the champions from each school for the Tournament will be announced after the meal, so please stick around. If your name is called-"

There was an outbreak of nervous giggling.

"Please, quiet down- alright, if your name is called, please come to the front of the hall and go to wait in the side lounge with the other champions. Alright- now you may eat."

Immediately Al began to shovel food into his mouth, before casting a sideways glance at Faith and becoming a model of decorous eating.

"I hope I'm chosen," he said to me in an aside. "And- well- you never know. Maybe I'll be put with-"

"That's highly unlikely," Rose told him, looking bored. "They're probably going to  choose champions from other houses- and besides, even if you were chosen, what are the odds that Faith would be, too, and made your partner?"

"What was that about me?" Faith asked from three seats down. She had been talking animatedly to Lily about how nervous she was, but now she gave a sidelong glance at Al, rather like the one he had given her, and flushed.

I smirked. I didn't see anything very attractive about Al, but then there was the influencing factor of his fame, which had to be attractive to girls.

"We didn't say your name," Rose lied to her quickly. "I just told Al that I had faith in him."

Faith mumbled something that Lily heard and laughed at.

"What did you say?" Al asked her.

"Nothing," she answered quickly, and turned to talk to Lily again.

Though I had laughed at Al for wanting to be with his crush on a team for the Tournament, I actually felt rather the same way myself. I envisioned myself in my mind's eye being on a team with Lily- winning her attention- then the Tournament-

I hadn't forgotten our bet. If I got into the Tournament...

All my dreams could come true.

After dinner, Headmaster Potter stepped to the podium where the Goblet of Fire waited. The flames flared... then...

"Rose Weasley, Hogwarts's first champion," he read.

Rose stared in shock. "No!"

"Go on, go up," Lily told her, thumping her back.

Rose stood as if in a bad dream and walked to the front.

"Wait just a moment, Rose," Headmaster Potter told her. "I have to draw the second member of your team."

Rose bit her lip nervously.

The goblet flared again....

"Jake Cohen," the Headmaster read.

Rose's eyes widened. "Wha-wha-what?"
