"Mr. Potter, could I talk to you about something?"
"Of course, Scorpius, what is it?"
"Well- er- important enough that I need to talk to you about it in private."
"Oh. Alright. Well, we can go just down here, into the den- James Sirius Potter, I don't care if baby Ivy wants to fly her toy broomstick in here, you're not letting her. Is that clear?"
"Gwandpa mean."
"Grandpa careful. Now go, silly, I have to talk to Scorpius."
"So you finally managed to ask her, mate? Good show."
"Thanks, James."
"So it IS about Lily? Ivy, go, I can't have you knocking Grandma's vase off of that table, she likes it- at least, she pretends to. Go on, baby girl- Ivy, not the cat!"
"Me likes to fwy into the tat."
"Well, Grandpa doesn't like it when you do. So don't. James, take her out of here, please?"
"Come on, Ivy, let's go demolish Uncle Al's room."
"Wheeee!"
"James, you're worse than she is- sorry about that, Scorpius, this house is bedlam ever since Ivy got that broom-"
"Uncle Harry, that little prankster of a Remus Lupin is teasing Charlotte Longbottom about getting into Slytherin, come and help-"
"Not now, Rose, I have to talk to Scorpius-"
"Oh, so you finally asked her, Scorpius? Good show!"
"That's what James said. I heard Alex is back, Rose- look at her blush."
"Oh, stop it, Scorp. Listen, Uncle Harry, could you help me after Scorpius asks you-"
"Asks me WHAT?"
"Hey, Dad! Hi, Rose! Why are we all in here? Oh, hi, Scorpius."
"Lily, we were TRYING to talk about..."
"It looks like we're going to have an audience for this, Mr. Potter, so I'll just ask it straight up. Will you let me marry your daughter?"
"Wha- wait, you- Lily-"
"Didn't you see the ring, Dad? I've been wearing it all day-"
"Why is it covered in frosting?"
"Long story. Come on, Scorpius, I want to tell everybody-"
"Wait. I haven't said yes yet!"
"Alright, dad, then please, could you?"
"I- er- alright. Fine. I never thought I'd see the day when one of my children married a Malfoy, but-"
"Oi, Harry, that's my son you're talking about!"
"I never said there was anything wrong with him, Draco. Fetch Astoria and my wife and let's watch and see how everyone else takes it, eh? This ought to be interesting."
"I will. I just thought I ought to tell you- your granddaughter just knocked down that little ceramic sculpture you had standing in the hallway."
"Ugh."
