How long?

It's such a painful feeling,
when you don't know how to love yourself.
When you look into the mirror,
and see someone else.

It's such a miserable state,
when you can't find a reason to wake up.
When everything around you feel empty,
and you have forgotten how to laugh.

It's such and everlasting sorrow,
living the same day again and again.
Being unable to do something about it,
and just wait for it to end.

It's such an unspeakable shame,
when you can't recognise who you are.
When you're standing at the finish line,
and wish you could restart.

Oh, and how much has this journey changed you?
How good has it played it's part?
How long have you suffered?
And how deeply does it hurt?

And what is left from you now?
What will you do for the lost parts?
How much time do you need to recover?
How much until you can finally see the sun?

How far have you trully fallen?
How long will it take you to rise?
Cause I'm still waiting for you
And I want to show you how to live, not just survive.

Oh, and how far have you trully fallen?
Tell me, how long till you rise up again?
Cause I'm still waiting here for you.
And I can teach you how to laugh again.
