Mackenzie PoV
Alec was drawing runes on the arrow he was holding and no people was here yet, which was good. ''Alec. Mackenzie'' I heard someone say. I turned around and saw Hodge holding a mug. ''Didn't know you were here''.
''Yeah, no....I...We..'' Alec stuttered.
''Don't tell me. I don't have want to report you'' Hodge said, walking closer to us.
''That girl, is V-'' Hodge couldn't finish the sentence because the rune on his neck burned him. ''The monster's daughter. There must be some reasons why the roaches are coming out of woodwork again, right? I'll leave you to it'' Hodge said, leaving.
''Hodge'' Alec called after him and he turned around. ''Thank you''.
''You remind me of me, Alec. A loyal friend standing in the shadow of the chosen one'' Hodge said, while Alec looked down. ''Don't make the same mistakes I did. Look where it got me'' he finished before leaving.
''That was close'' I said and my phone beeped. I opened my phone and I received a text.
''Who is it?'' Alec asked.
''Izzy. She wants us to go at a meat packer entrance. Do you know where that is?'' I questioned Alec.
''I think so'' he replied.
~~~
Alec and I went up the stairs and saw Izzy, who was wearing a red dress. ''Izzy. I got your text. Where are we exactly?'' I asked.
''It's a meat packer service entrance. If we go back there, we come up into the basement of the Hotel DuMort. Perfect right? We distract the vamps, Clary and Jace have time to save Simon'' Izzy explained.
''Ok'' Alec replied, making Izzy annoyed.
''Ok? It was a hard work interrogating Meliorn to get this intel'' my parabatai told her brother.
''Great job Izzy'' Alec said, with a fake smile. ''You have faerie dust on your dress'' Alec added and walked away, towards the exit. ''And I hate being the distraction''.
''I don't. You know, you'd be a lot more happier if you weren't so freaking repressed'' Isabelle said and Alec stopped walking for a few second. ''Alec? Hello?'' Izzy got no response from Alec, he just left. Izzy looked at me and I just shrugged my shoulders. Izzy and I followed him and Izzy kept talking, but Alec did not respond. ''You seriously aren't going to talk to me are you?''
''Because you have no idea what you're talking about'' Alec replied.
''But I do. You're hiding from yourself, not me. You have feelings whether you like it or not'' Izzy said.
''This is not the time or the place Izzy'' Alec told her and climbed up a ladder.
''I don't know. Looks pretty smooth so far'' Izzy smiled, looking at me.
''What?'' I asked.
''Nothing'' she said climbed up, and so did I.
''This must be the way'' Izzy said, opening a door and revealed like 9 vampires or something. Alec quickly shut the door, ''Well, not that smooth'' Izzy added and the 3 of us had our backs on the door trying to keep it close.
''Any day now'' Izzy said, and Alec was trying to get my stele out.
''Yeah, and if you and Mack try and hold the door still, it might be a lot easier'' Alec told us. Once he took his stele out he tried drawing a rune, ''It's not taking it'' he said. I saw that my parabatai took her sword out and Alec and I was trying to keep the door closed. Izzy cut the pipe and inserted it into the handle.
