Kitty spent the entire car ride blabbering about how great this store's inventory was and how it would be perfect for me. She smiled at me as she added, "Your earring is like some of the other things they have there. You might get a colored one if they strike your fancy."

I shrugged the comment off and answered, " I might. Only if they aren't all sparkly." My gaze stayed on the buildings flashing by outside and I wondered if I would ever grow to like Kitty. To be totally honest, she wasn't all that bad to be around when my dad wasn't around. This was honestly the first time we had done something like this together and I decided to keep an open mind about her for now.

"Here we are!" She screamed into the parking lot and her hands jerked the wheel, causing the Camaro to spin wildly into an open spot. She smiled warmly at me after the smoke from the burning rubber had cleared up, "I have my secrets, Terrance."

I was clutching at my seat so hard my knuckles were white and could only muster a small nod in her direction. She had just spun this car perfectly into a parking spot without batting an eyelash! Where in the world did she learn to drive like that?! Once the shock lessened, I nervously got out of the car and gazed at the store before me in awe.

The building had elegant red, blue, and silver flames coating the entrance along with a huge Autobot symbol mounted above the doors. Honestly, Kitty had done her homework on my likes and I was a little touched.

We walked inside and my heart did a flip when I saw a model of the Autobot Bumblebee's car form sitting on a slightly elevated stage. Kitty would tell me bits and pieces about how the store got their merchandise, but I was only half listening as I wandered through the racks of shirts, and coats. I spotted a few nice t-shirts featuring the Autobot symbol, another earring that was slightly larger than my current one, and a nice leather jacket that I really liked.

"I'll pay for these things, okay?" Kitty giggled as we stood in line at the checkout.

"Thank you, Kitty," I murmured as we bagged the items and headed for the car.

As we drove home, the atmosphere in the car became tense. I noticed that Kitty's knuckles were white from gripping the steering wheel and she was really paying attention to the views in her mirrors. The question lingering on my lips was answered as a missile exploded right in front of the Camaro and sent us flying off the road!

Everything sounded as if I were underwater as I lay slumped and dazed in the passenger seat. Kitty was shaking my shoulder rapidly and screaming, "Terrance! Wake up! We have to run!"

I grabbed the leather jacket and the earring before staggering out of the car after Kitty. My body hurt just about everywhere and I didn't have the strength to run for my life; however. . . I stopped running and transformed into my car form before pulling up alongside Kitty, "Get in!"

She understandably looked confused, but she got in and I burnt rubber as I took off like a bullet. Her voice wavered as she asked, "Who are you?"

"I'm your step-son. It's me." I told her the truth about how I came to be able to turn into a car and I nervously watched her nodding in the rear view mirror, "Kitty. . .?"

Her eyes turned to chips of hazel flint as she buckled her seatbelt and said, "Just drive. We have to get to your father before the 'cons."

My engine roared as I sped away from the carnage and back toward home. We reached the house moments later and I screamed into the driveway, just coming to a stop before Kitty jumped out. I watched her talking to my dad and I saw him run back into the house to come out moments later with three suitcases. Kitty opened my trunk and my dad threw the luggage in before leaping into the passenger seat. As soon as they were all buckled in, I floored the gas pedal and we flew back onto the road. Aaron gasped as I did that and said, "I guess we are in the presence of an Autobot."

I said nothing in response and just kept my focus on the black carpet stretching out before me. We had left the Downtown area and we were now out on a deserted road surrounded by rippling fields of corn. When I saw a spot to pull over, I did so gratefully and lurched to a halt. Once I was parked I said, "Get out for a moment and get some fresh air while I take a breather okay?"

"Of course." My father, always the gentleman in any situation. He exited the car and then spoke with Kitty again in a hushed tone. He then pulled out his cellphone and punched in a number before just holding the phone flat in his hand. He just watched the road as the phone rang and he suddenly smiled.

A red, blue, and silver semi truck roared down the road towards where we were with a Camaro and a heavy duty looking, onyx truck following close behind. As they pulled up, the truck slowly began to transform and my heart skipped a beat when Optimus Prime appeared in the place of the truck within a few seconds. His voice caused me to back up slowly, "Aaron, what is the meaning of calling us out here? What do you require of me?"

"Your help, Optimus. The 'cons attacked my family and-" My father suddenly became panicked when he realized that I wasn't present, "Kitty, where is Terry?!"

I revved my engine and said, "Calm down, Dad. I'm right here."

His eyes turned into saucers as he realized what I was saying and responded by throwing a fit, "How in the name of Primus did you turn into a car?! When did this happen!?"

I floored it in reverse to avoid his advance and Kitty stepped in before I was damaged too badly, "He told me everything, Aaron. He can change back to a person and he saved my life by exposing his secret to me."

He crossed his arms, "Terrance Orion Magnum, transform into your true self this instant."

I did as he commanded and the luggage fell neatly in a row on the grass. My shirt was soaked through with sweat from the hard drive and my vision flickered in and out of focus as I struggled to remain upright. Optimus must have noticed that something was wrong with me and easily steadied me with his giant hand. I gratefully sagged against it before I faced my father, "Dad, believe me when I say that I wanted to tell you sooner, but all of this came up and I didn't get a chance."

"Aaron," Optimus spoke up now and addressed my father with a calm demeanor that seemed uncommon for a leader such as himself. His words almost lulled me to sleep as he said, "The boy is being truthful with you and you shouldn't be so hard on him for something that is so far out of his control. He has been given this ability for a reason, so let us help him as best we can to be all he can be."

My father looked unconvinced, but backed off from the topic and switched gears, "What were the Decepticons after this time?"

The black Autobot crossed his arms and made himself more intimidating before answering the question and it almost made me faint on the spot, "They were after the kid. Somehow they got wind of his new ability and they now want his head."

"Ironhide!" Optimus turned on the bot with a scowl, "You are not helping the boy calm down at all by saying that." His eyes then found my face and his voice softened, "Are you alright, Terrance?"

"Y-yeah. I guess I'll be okay with a bunch of evil Cybertronians chasing me  for the rest of my life." My legs finally couldn't stop me from falling it the ground and it caused a small panic attack amongst the Autobots; however, I waved off their worry, "I'm alright! I'm alright! I just need a moment to recover."

Optimus still hovered near me as he addressed a grouchy looking bot that was approaching us, "Ratchet, I-"

"The boy is fine! Stop fussing over the fleshling." The cranky medicinal vehicle, or Ratchet, stated before Optimus had finished speaking.

My face heated up as he said fleshling, but I decided not to go toe to toe with the giant medical bot who looked ready to dice me into pieces. A cool breeze swept across the area and it helped sooth my headache as I closed my eyes to breath deeply. I was given this gift for a reason. . . What was the specific reason? That one question had a whole lot of curiosity behind it, but you know what they say about curiosity killing the cat? They couldn't have been more right.

This is the completed chapter 3! The t-shirt shown at the start of the chapter is one I truly want to have. I think it's cool that Bumblebee is trusted so much ^.^
