Tessa's POV

Several months had passed by and I had grown used to living a life on the run. My relationship with Terry was continuing on strongly and he had even popped the question!

He had knelt down on one knee and proposed to me saying, "I know we have many differences, but I am confident that we can get past those and live a happy life together, Tessa. Will you make me the happiest mech in this vast galaxy?"

Of course my answer had been yes! The elegant silver ring that now decorated my ring finger had a diamond that was colored like his optics when he was in his Cybertronian form.

Ironhide had helped out a lot when it came time to tell my dad about it and Terry had to tell Optimus. His cool demeanor was contagious and I found myself mimicking his actions more often than before. He acted like a big brother to me and Terry whenever he drove us places, but I knew he could go into protective mode in seconds and we trusted him.

Currently, I was wrapped up in Terry's arms and we were snuggled up in the back of Ironhide's alt mode. My life was perfect. . . or so I thought at the time.

Stranger's POV

I watched the Autobot driving down the road and snickered softly. Oh revenge could be so sweet! Optimus would never know what happened to his son or his weapons specialist because I would blast them to smithereens!
Now, I just had to wait for the right time for my attack and believe me. . . they would never see me coming until it was too late.

Tessa's POV

My eyes slowly opened when I felt a shift in Ironhide's mood. He suddenly sped up to a speed way over the speed limit. I was about to ask him what was wrong when I noticed that Terry wasn't next to me. My eyes locked onto his vehicle mode driving right next to Ironhide's and I instantly felt panic rising slowly in my heart. What's up now? Could it be-

Ironhide's alt mode was suddenly blown off the road and I screamed as I was thrown out! He grunted in pain as he caught me in his servo and rolled across the road, sending sparks and parts everywhere.

Another blast rang out and my lips formed a shocked 'o' as I saw Terry's body soaring through the air with a misting of red floating behind him. His eyes were wide open and his mouth opened to unleash a howl of agony that tore my heart apart. He slammed back down to earth with a sickening 'crunch' and lay still on the road.

Ironhide carried me over to Terry's still form, "Stay right here and don't move until I tell you to!" He then radioed Prime and the others as he quickly tried to find where the middles had come from; however, I could tell he was rattled by what just happened to Terry.

I could only nod in shock as I saw how badly Terry had been injured by the blast.

Blood had already begun to pool under Terry's body due to the large chunk of flesh now missing from his right side. His breaths rattled as he choked on his own blood that had to be pouring into his lungs, but somehow his eyes found my face. Those eyes. . . Once brightly lit with joy and life, they had dimmed drastically to a dull, faded blue because of his injuries. It looked like it was a struggle for him to try and form words as he coughed up more and more of his lifeblood. As he grew weaker and weaker, his blood suddenly changed to a beautiful, sky blue. . . His energon. . . He somehow managed with his last breath to whisper to me, "I l-love you. . . Tessa."

I wailed with grief over his body as Ironhide slowly came back over to me with a soft vent of pain saying gently, "We have to go, Tessa. . . I'm sorry."

I gave Terry's now still lips one last kiss before I climbed into Ironhide's alt mode and wept as he sped away from the scene. The ring on my finger suddenly weighed thousands of pounds and I almost threw it away from me, but I kept it and just slipped it onto a necklace chain before slipping it under my shirt. Where sorrow once was I now felt the burning desire for revenge on whoever killed the love of my life. Picking up the gun that rested in Ironhide's glove box I loaded it and slipped it into the holster I wore on my belt.
Whoever attacked us next was getting a bullet between the eyes.

Stranger's POV

My plan had worked perfectly! The son of Optimus now lay dead at my peds and I kicked the body just for the frag of it. I had watched as his companions had fled and left him behind. . . Big mistake on their part. Morphing into my holoform with ease, I hefted the dead Orion into my vehicle mode and drove towards my lab that was hidden deep in the desert maze of the Grand Canyon.
Oh, Optimus, you are going to fall to pieces when you see what will become of the sparkling you fought so hard for. . .

I immediately got to work by making the boy transform into his vehicle mode. It was actually a tricky procedure due to the fact that the boy was dead, but I managed to get the results alright.

My attack had done quite a bit of damage and I cursed softly as I began to repair Orion's shattered body. . . He slowly came back together and I then placed the final program within his helm that would ensure the plan would go as smoothly as possible. As I flicked the switch, Orion's optics flashed open. . .
