-- This is a drawing and quote I found on Deviant Art and it has actually helped me get through some tough times. Now, back to the story! --

Terry's POV

I snuggled up against the warm body in front of me and sighed in content, but the sound of hushed talking woke me. My eyes widened as I realized I was snuggled against Tessa and I eased myself away with my ninja stealth.

She looked so pretty with her hair flared out in a soft halo around her head and her gentle lips curved up in a ghost of a smile. My presence must have alerted her, but she woke up with a small whimper and gazed up at me with lazy eyes. Her smile grew as she said, "Good morning."

"Good morning to you too, Sleepy Head. We have to go soon," I replied with a soft smirk and I gasped as she grabbed the collar of my t-shirt and pulled me into a tender kiss. Oh, Primus! What influenced you to create femmes with such beauty and prowess over us mechs?

Tessa drew away and suddenly tackled me out of nowhere! She smirked down at me and shook her head slowly, "You're not supposed to let me do that, Terry. I shouldn't have been able to move you an inch, yet I totally flipped you over!" Her hand rested on my forehead for a moment as she looked at me with mock concern, "Are you ill? Is there something wrong with you that only Cybertronian beings are able to diagnose?"

My laugh rang out clear and true as I listened to her teasing me. There were tears in my eyes when I was finally able to respond, "I am fine, Tessa! You surprised me is all. Now, let me up so we can get on the move."

Instead of moving off of me, Tessa just flopped down on top of me with a slow sigh, "But you're such a nice pillow. . ." She snuggled against me and I chuckled as it tickled me; however, to my dismay she noticed and looked at me intently, "Are you ticklish?"

My spark beat stopped and my reaction must have answered her question because she was soon tickling me like crazy! I squirmed around and tried to escape her evil fingers, but she had me pinned and I could do nothing. Tears were flowing down my face as I begged her to stop, "Tessa! ACK!! Please!! S-stop this please!"

Her laughter filled my audio receptors as she finally let me go and collapsed beside me as we both caught our breath. Tessa poked my side once we had settled down somewhat and asked, "Did Ironhide ever do that with you?"

I was somewhat caught off guard by her question, but replied with a soft chuckle, "He did it to me once when I called him a 'softie'. I thought I would offline before he stopped!" My hand swatted hers away from my side and I scrambled to my feet, laughing my aft off, "Enough! We really need to get going."

Tessa finally got up and into my alt mode after I transformed. Her fingers drew patterns on my dash board and I sighed, completely relaxed with her touch and the fact that it would be a long day.

The landscape slowly changed from desert to grasslands as we drove back East, but soon after we reached Yellow Stone National Park we had to stop because Prowl's engine overheated. I offered to tow him until we reached a safer spot, so we hooked him up to me and moved on. Part of my focus lingered on what happened in Los Vegas. . . Who exactly shot those missiles at us? Their aim was scary good like Ironhide's!

Tessa's voice pulled me back to reality as she said gently, "Optimus is stopping for the night, Terry. We can stop now." She had been quiet for the majority of the drive, but I had a clear idea about what had been on her mind.

I sighed as I stopped and as Cade unhooked Prowl. My transformation caused a few of my sockets to crack loudly, but the pain was bearable. Once we were all settled I lay down on my blanket and tried to get some recharge; however, I wouldn't get that chance because at that moment I heard the sounds of several missiles coming straight for us!
