Terry's POV

The next few days were filled with arguments, fights, and bloody gashes left behind from punches. Shaun and I had been locked in combat for hours (the other Autobots had gone on a small patrol) and both of us weren't about to back down. The stupid human had insulted Optimus, my father, and I just lunged for his throat with a growl of pure rage.

He spat some blood into my face and snarled, "You are all so weak and vulnerable when you think about it. All of you guys should have died by now!"

My rage hit the boiling point and I howled. I was currently pinned beneath him and my struggles seemed to be futile. I groaned softly as I felt a cool metal blade sinking into my side and then screamed as Shaun twisted it sharply. Blood soaked through my already shredded shirt as he continued to twist the blade. Where did he get the fragging knife in the first place?!

Tessa suddenly charged over and tackled Shaun off of me with a shriek! Her gentle voice had steel in it now as she yelled at Shaun for three minutes straight about how much I had done for them since they met me, how I saved their lives twice without hesitation, and how I respected them. When she finished her speech, she approached me cautiously with a first aid kit in her hand.

It hurt because it reminded me of Ratchet, but I said nothing as she tended to my gushing wound. I couldn't wait to hear what the other Autobots would have to say about this newest altercation, but feared the scolding I would undoubtedly receive from Optimus. . .

   "Terrance?"

Tessa's angelic voice drew me from my dark thoughts and I slowly looked into her leafy, green eyes, "Yeah?"

Tears traced trails down her face as she tended to and cleaned my wound, "I'm so sorry. . . . I told Shaun not to bother you, but he never listens to me. . ."

I coughed weakly and shook my head slowly, "It's not your fault, Tessa. I allowed his words to get under my skin and I gave him the reaction he wanted. . . It's my fault. . . *cough*"

She hushed me gently as I fell into a fierce coughing fit and she called her father over when I began to cough up clots of blood. Tessa held my head in her lap as her father stitched me up and absentmindedly began to stroke my hair. My eyes fluttered closed as I allowed her fingers to run through my hair and my entire body relaxed as I slowly sank into unconsciousness.

Tessa's POV

I couldn't believe it! Shaun stabbed Terrance after the guy saved our butts from those officials?!? My hands tenderly ran through his jet, black hair and I admired his looks openly now that he was unconscious for the moment.

His face looked a lot like my father's, but with less wrinkles and contained more knowledge of things I would probably never understand. My hands were practically buried in his silky locks and they glittered softly when the sun hit them the right way. I also noticed that he had a beautiful silver earring in the shape of what looked like a face. Was that a gift from an old friend?

A loud truck horn sounded and my father looked as if he was about to faint, "It's Optimus! He's going to really be upset if he sees his son like this."

My head just about exploded as I stared down at the young man who was currently using my lap as a pillow. He's the son of Optimus?! No wonder he got so ticked. . . I remembered that the fight started when Shaun insulted Optimus's leadership skills, but it was still quite a shock to hear my dad say that.

The Autobots stormed into our little cavern and suddenly came out of their vehicle modes in their holoforms. Optimus looked exactly like Terrance except for some grey hair near his temples and on his slight beard. His worried look said it all as he saw me cradling Terry's head in my lap and the medical supplies around my father.
