Tessa's POV

A soft voice woke me from my dreams and I opened my eyes to see that Terry was still in his vehicle mode and had parked under a bridge in a dry riverbed. Everything came rushing back to me and I shrieked!

Terry's entire form seemed to jump and he was immediately on high alert, "What?!? What is it? Are you hurt?!"

"Was the other night real?" I asked him just to be sure it hadn't been a stupid dream.

"It was real, Tessa. . . I'm so sorry," Terry sounded defeated as he spoke and his lights dimmed.

A loud truck horn caused both of us to flip out. Terry transformed into a human again and I fell on his shoulders, screaming as if I had just seen the biggest spider ever. We must have looked pretty ridiculous as we finally fell into the sand because we soon heard soft chuckling. We looked over to see Optimus parked a few feet away from us and he politely apologized, "I am sorry. I had to test that out to see if you were telling the truth, Terrance."

Terry, who was pinned underneath me, groaned softly as he yelled at Optimus, "This is the wrong time to do a 'jump-scare', Dad! We've been through a night of complete terror and we don't need to be spooked!"

My entire body went ridged as I placed my hand on Terry's abs. Man, are they defined! Shaun has a long way to go to get to Terry's level. . . I felt my face heating up as his muscles flexed beneath my fingers and I quickly got off of him so he could get up, "Sorry for landing on you."

He chuckled softly as he brushed dust from his shirt. His eyes sparkled dully as he said softly, "You're fine. I'm sorry I transformed into a human without warning. . . It happens from time to time when I get startled." Terry then sent a soft glare in Optimus's direction and grumbled something about 'Primes' and their "humor".

Prowl pulled up and my father, with a very grouchy looking Shaun following, ran to me and bombarded me with questions.

Terry slowly went over towards where Hound and Bumblebee stood. His eyes had clouded over with exhaustion as he glanced at Shaun, but he said nothing as Shaun gave me a soft hug. He did say something when Shaun tried to kiss me and I flinched away, "Back off."

Shaun scowled at Terry and then smirked, "Why? She wants me to, don't ya?" He looked down at me and suddenly forced a kiss on my lips.

I struggled uselessly against him and prayed that Terry saw that I didn't want it. When I managed to escape Shaun's arms, I slowly walked over to Prowl and stood behind him with a soft frown upon my face.

Terry's growl of pure fury brought my attention back to them. Both of them were suddenly inches apart and both looked like they were about to murder the other. The iron in Terry's voice reminded me of how many years he had over Shaun when it came to life and fighting, "Never do anything like that ever again."

Shaun just bared his teeth and threw the first punch with a yell.

Both collided with fists flying in blurs my eyes couldn't follow. Terry's muscles rippled as he swung blow after blow, connecting with Shaun's stomach, chest, and ribs. He grunted in pain as Shaun clipped his jaw but he stayed on his feet and continued. Suddenly, Terry's eyes flashed and he just exploded into action. His moves were unlike anything I had ever seen before as he knocked Shaun to the ground and hovered over him with a glare that could kill. The look said loud and clear: I am in charge here and Tessa is mine. When he spoke, he sounded so much like Optimus that tears came to my eyes, "Stand down, Shaun. You will never beat me again because I won't let you. Tessa is free to make her own choices in her life and she clearly is figuring some things out so, I recommend that you stay away from her."
