"Come on! Please don't tell me we're late for Transfiguration, for the 3rd time this week!" I yelled at Ron, running down the hallway.

"I-I am, Kat! I am! Bloody hell, Harry's so lucky Hermione woke him up so they can come to class on time!"

"Why didn't Hermione wake us up?" I asked, panting. Well, apparently Hermione did try to wake me up, but my eyes were heavier than rock cakes and my body was simply glued to the bed.

"I think she's still mad at me for calling her an ignorant know-it-all while arguing at the Great Hall. I don't know about you," Ron grumbled.

"Think? Think?!" I yelled, running faster than him, despite the fact he actually walks faster. "Come on!"

We came in and found our seats. No professor. That's a relief. "You should've woke up."

I turned my head around and saw Hermione behind me, Harry beside her with a smile. I smiled sheepishly. "I guess so."

Ron, who was sitting beside me with a mouthful of sneaked in candy since he was in such a rush he wasn't able to take breakfast -- I was able to, though -- jerked his head around. "Hermione, I'm sorry for calling you the, well, you-know-what in the, you-know-where."

"Please. You're referring to the incident like it's, You-Know-Who," she replied in a whisper. "I forgive you, though."

"Honestly truly?" Ron said, widening his eyes.

Hermione smiled. "Sure. And for the record, you'd better eat that up quickly. Eating isn't allowed in class."

The four of us grimaced, and that actually included Harry. Oh, Herbology... Lost 5 points because of all of us chewing gum. Grr. And it's all Malfoy's fault, offering it as a sorry for harming us... twice this week. It took so long to lose the flavour and for the gum to be spit out. When we tried to spit it during Herbology, it wouldn't come out.

"Oh," said Ron, gulping it all down. "So, we're cool again, Hermione?"

"Cool," she smiled. "But mind you, that wasn't much of a good start for our first week last week."

"I know, I know. It's just... I must admit I'm not studious, unlike you," Ron said, wiping the caramel off his mouth. "The fact you can answer any question our professors toss actually makes me... jealous, to describe."

"I don't know if I should believe that reason," said Hermione, then turned to Harry. "Harry, you're his best friend. Should I believe him?"

Harry looked at Ron sideways, and I saw Ron widening his blue eyes. Harry chuckled, then looked at Hermione. "It seems genuine."

"Yeah, I guess," said Hermione with a shrug. "You're lucky Professor McGonagall didn't catch you. Otherwise she'd have turned you into a clock."

"Who'd I turn into a clock, Ms. Granger?" We all turned their heads and saw McGonagall standing right in front of Ron and I. Oh, this is bloody bad.

"Busted," I heard someone whisper, and jerked my head at the back, seeing Malfoy with his grabby friends Crabbe and Goyle chuckling. I scrunched up my face at them, then looked up at Professor McGonagall, who had her eyes focused on me.

"Uh, ma'am, we were just having a review about transfiguration, yes," reasoned Harry immediately, easing my discomfort as Professor McGonagall focused her stern eyes on Harry. Thank you, Harry.

"Yes, ma'am. Uh, since we have a test tomorrow, if we're correct," added Hermione.

Professor McGonagall rested her eyes on all 4 of us. "Very well. Now let's continue with our lessons, shall we?"
