"Arlin Kiel Vicenza Beryl! Where the heck are you?!" Kataleen shrieked, hands on hips as she looked around the field during Quidditch practice.

"Uh, Kataleen, didn't you hear?" Fred said, nudging George.

George sighed. "Arlin's asked --"

"-- to join this morning's practice --"

"-- but to not join --"

"-- the afternoon one," finished Fred. "And if you're asking where he's at, I have no idea where his next class is."

Kataleen sighed, scratching the back of her head. "Okay. Thanks anyways, guys."

"Well, how about you answer our question?" Fred asked, leaning forward on his arms on a bench.

She shrugged. "Sure. What?"

"Is that Irwin Slyffindor guy bothering Ronny or something?"

"Because we've seen him so uptight over something," added George.

She frowned, taking the thick leather book tucked under her arms and slamming it hard at Fred's head, making George back up a step. She dropped her book and jabbed a finger at George's chest. "Look, guys. You're funny and one of my best friends' brothers so I like you, but you do not insult Irwin like that. Just because he's a Slytherin it doesn't mean he's responsible for all tragedies!"

As she waved her hands in the air for emphasis on the last sentence Fred got up from the grass with a groan, dusting his Quidditch playing robes. "What in blimey's wrong with you, mate?"

"Sorry, but I tend to get defensive over my friends," she said with a sweet smile. "Anyway, Ron's all uptight because of a certain news discovered just a week ago that a Hogwarts professor is helping and teaming up with You-Know-Who and that when their job's accomplished, there's a 99.9% chance Harry's gonna get killed."

"What?" George exclaimed. "Then that means --"

"You and --"

"-- Harry's other friends --"

"-- plus little Ronny --"

"-- are also in grave danger?!" George finished, as Kataleen shushed him.

"Yes, yes. It's top secret, though, so that's all I can give, considering you're his brothers," she said in a softer voice. "Now go on to your practice before Oliver gets all Quidditch freaky again."

"Yeah, yeah," nodded Fred.

"And who's this professor aligning himself with You-Know-Who?" George asked, just as a whistle blew from somewhere behind the twins.

"That's Oliver. And that means I'm also nearly late for DADA. Catch you later!" Kataleen called, waving them off as she ran in the direction of her classroom.

Once in her classroom, she sat down just in time before Quirrel entered, stuttering a greeting to all of them. "Good m-morning, class! Today, we're t-talking about m-mountain trolls!"

"Hey, ain't that your technical brother?" Harry said, nudging Kataleen as he pointed at another desk in the common room. He was with Kataleen, Matrix, and Ron, studying.

Kataleen looked up from her book about plants and just smiled, seeing the familiar boy absorbed in a book. She closed her own book and went over to Arlin.

"Arlin, where've you been all day?" Kataleen said sweetly.

Arlin jumped in his seat, hiding the book behind him. "Huh? Oh, oh, yeah! Hehe. Pretty busy stuff. Flitwick's been up and at 'em at homework giving. Gotta accomplish stuff in a jiffy so I wasn't able to see you."
