Chapter III
He was my best friend. Since childhood we've always been together.
"Don't talk about him like this." I hissed and he looked down.
"He failed at protecting you. That's more than enough reason to talk about him like this." He hissed back and I stood up.
"You know nothing. So leave him in peace and don't talk about him, as if you know what happened." I started to walk down and Aki followed silent behind me.
I opened the door and instantly went up to my room. It was... much more girly than in my memories...
"I would suggest to make a change of furniture and maybe to change the complete room, because I need space to sleep as well." Aki said looking around the room.
"Be happy you won't have to sleep on the floor. And let's change the furniture really." I said and he nodded. And so we went together to a shop, in order to buy new carpets, a bed and a sofa, two wardrobes and some different things. With the help of some other Kitsune we got the packages into my room and in very less minutes Aki redecorated everything and everything I was allowed to do, was to catch dust while watching him.
"I hope you like it." Aki bowed and laid down on the floor.
"What are you doing?" I looked down at him, while making a soft pillow and a warm blanket on the sofa before climbing inside my bed.
"I am going to sleep on the floor." He answered and turned on another hip, showing me his back.
"The sofa.... I wanted it for you... because you will have to live with me... So please... Sleep on it..." I whispered in a soft voice. "And one of the wardrobes is for you as well... Because-!" Before I was able to finish my sentence he stood up and held a plush toy out to me.
"I noticed you looking at it... So I got it for you... You like tigers, don't you?" It was a very sweet, white plush tiger and he smiled softly at me.
I felt my cheeks grow hot with embarrassment and I took it.
"T-thanks... I really appreciate it... And now... lay down on the sofa... I gave you a warm blanket... so you won't be cold tonight..." I mumbled shyly and he bowed.
"Thank you for your kindness, I wish you a good night." He laid down on the sofa and fell asleep, as I held the plush tiger tight to myself and fell asleep myself.
"Milady... Please wake up... Your parents summon us..." Kuruko's voice was so soft... So warm
"Kuruko... Lemme sleep longer... Please..." I mumbled and snuggled more up inside the blanket.
Wait...
"Kuruko!!" I sat up and looked around, but inside my room just Aki was sitting next to my bed and he whispered.
"I'm not Kuruko but I gotta thank him for making it a bit easier to wake you up." Aki stood up and left the room.
"... Baka." I mumbled and changed myself into some jogging trousers and lazy shirt and pullover before heading to the dining room.
"Good morning sweetheart..." Mom hugged me and kissed my cheek.
"Morning..." I yawned and dad grinned at me.
"Still tired, are we?" He asked and I nodded.
"Anyways, sit down and have breakfast, and we will tell you how we will proceed with the hunt of the ones who kidnapped you, ok?" Mom said as she let go of me.
"Sure... Aki, join us..." I mumbled as I sat down at the table and started to make myself a sandwich.
"Thank you." Aki sat next to me down and started to eat as well.
"Well... We decided that you and Aki..." Mom started to explain and I looked at her.
